brad1431
I have void set with mage helm, I can get melee helm if needed, I have everything else or can get anything else, except chaotics... what else do I need and what strategy would be best for me... I want to hunt them for a pair of each boots for my own use and then for profit. Thanks
arq
Ahrims is better than void if you can get ahrims.
brad1431
That is funny I was going to ask about that, I spent a day bored out of my mind playing pest control to get void, and then put it on and was asking myself how is this better than ahrims..... but the tip it guide to glacor hunting says elite void is the best option.... Ambler
Ahrims is far better than elite void. Use ahrims with a rapier (whip?)/defender/fury switch, (or polypore staff)Once you get the hang of it, Glacors are fun, and give decent exp! ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
brad1431
and this is why I keep saying that the tip it guides are out of date, the guide says elite void is the best option for glacor hunting and I spent a full day playing a boring minigame to get that armor just for glacors. Does anyone have a real updated glacor guide? I can finish the quest anytime now and want to go glacor hunting, but want a good guide.
Ambler
Void does help at Glacors, but ahrims is better. It is very helpful to have though, so don't feel like you wasted time gettimg it! :P As for an up to date guide, the Tip It one works. simply change the gear setup to suit you. ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
brad1431
but the guide doesnt work, because it clearly says that void is better than ahrims.... how do I know that other items are wrong as well
Quyneax
Ahrim's isn't better than void in my opinion, magic attack bonus is way overrated. With void melee you'll kill the glacytes significantly faster and since you do not have a rapier, surgebox or steel titan that kill speed increase will help a lot more than a little mage attack (not to mention you will have a nice bit of extra prayer bonus). You do need the void melee helmet however. The base setup is void deflector with barrows gloves and a fire cape. You switch between arcane stream necklace + staff of light + void mage helmet and amulet of fury + vine whip + void melee helmet. If you want you can also switch between dragon and infinity boots or seer's and berserker rings, but a ring of wealth is much easier to use. The_Fray
You really should train dungeoneering, if you can stand it train dungeon for a few days. Both ASN and rapier are very much needed items. I am surprised with your stats you have not made the switch to a rapier sooner.
brad1431
I cant train DG that well because I dont know anyone IRL that plays, and I am in DGS, but I have only done two teams and they are very high strung, and I get yelled at for making small mistakes, I wish there was something like DGS but DGS light that I can do to get more experience with a team so I can DGS evenutually more effectively and to know the terminology better...
