March 17, 201214 yr Not to steal the topic but, if your at max melee's what would be better the CLS or the Rapier?Rapier. Infact, the better your stats and gear gets, the better the rapier becomes. (Due to the faster speed taking advantage of the better gear bonus, and the lower accuracy being balanced by your higher attack level) Any place where CLS beats rapier (Only extremely high defense creatures), the maul beats the CLS. So theres no reason to use CLS ever, unless you need to tank an extremely high defense creature with a shield. (Tanking is generally a bad idea now days. You often save more time by not tanking and doing another trip.)

March 18, 201214 yr Rapier is the best chaotic for first one in my opinion. It's the faster, longsword might be stronger but in most situations the dps (damage per second) of the rapier overcomes the longsword, an example of this is slayer
