Profit with slayer

At what level do you start profiting with slayer?

 

I'm currently level 59 slayer and I do to Duradel for tasks, but in 95% of the time I make a loss instead of a profit. This is because I have to buy food/potions/cannonballs.

 

People say slayer is amazing profit even if you use cannon, so I was wondering at what level it becomes amazing (or any) profit?

If you use cannon you won't profit...

Cannon is for power slaying,you don't make money but you get faster xp,if you want profit don't use the cannon...

 

slayer drops are shit now,you'll make more mony from side drops then slayer drops (at your level and at higher levels)

hope they rebalance slayer soon...

I think slayer becomes more profitable when you can enter Kuradel dungeon. You get task like blue dragon iron drags and steel drags where you can very easily bank the bones, since there is an instant teleport to the bank. Besides that aberrant spectres are good money, nechryyphaels not bad, Strikewyverns pretty good. Just make sure to pick up all the good herbs and seeds and pick up runes, id recommend picking up charms as well as youll need later.

Your equipments helps alot too, Slayer helm is a must, get dragon defender as it is very useful and very quick to get (2-3 hours), and proselyte armor. Of course as your stats increase you get better money.

If i can estimate id say maybe 80 melle stats and 70 pray when you get good reasonable money?

If you cannon, you'll get from little to no profit at all.

 

Slayer doesn't really get that profitable (It used to be though), but you can still make something from a lucky clue scroll or side drops such as rune. If you have the patience, you can bank every dragon bone and infernal ash, but that'll slow you down a lot.

 

-Abyssal Demons can be profitable if you get a whip/bank ashes

-Spiritual Mages aren't that much of a profit now that dragon boots crashed, but you can still get a little something from those

-Ice Strykewyrms are great profit, from crushed nests and the occasional staff of light drop

-Skeletal Wyverns can be a little profitable if you manage to not use much food on them and bank all their bones

-Nechryaels are good profit, they drop tons of seed and common rune drops

-Dark Beasts are very slow if you don't have high melee levels, and aren't much of a profit with dark bow prices these days

-Ganodermic Beasts are one the most profitable tasks, one can easily make over 1mil or 2mil if you know how to do it right

 

If you haven't already, then get the full slayer helm, and the chaotic rapier, they speed up slaying A LOT.

Arcane Stream Necklace will speed up those tasks that require magic, and the polypore staff is a cheap alternative to mage your tasks

Your problem is the fact that you are cannoning like the others have said before me. The only things that you can profit by using a cannon on would be Black Demons (if you have 96 summoning) and Aberrant Spectres (with many bank trips or 96 summoning). To make cannoning profitable, you have to get consistent drops of something around 2k+ per kill.
