April 3, 201214 yr Just a small note: Just created a F2P account so I don't have to pay Jagex a penny out of disgust for the Squeal update, and noticed upon activation, you start in Lumbridge again. This means: - No annoying 2 hour Troll Warzone Tutorial- Pure F2P Characters can once again be created- No forcing players to be a member for 14 days I personally see this as a welcomed removal, but can be seen both ways I guess.
April 3, 201214 yr Uhmm, I myself created a noob to try this out and have some fun, and the P2p 14-days tutorial was *optional*. You had to click a link they send you by email, nothing forced here. Also, the 2-hours troll warzone thingy can/could be skipped by leaving Taverley through the Eastern gate leading to Falador.

I never had the option of not activating it, had to click the link in my email just to be given the option to log in, which automatically assigned the 14 day trial. Also, at least when I played my new char using tutorial, I was not allowed to leave via the gate until I completed every task in the burthorpe/taverly set, so im not sure if they added this after you did yours or not, but was there when I did it.

Ah what a nice waste of 2 hours pre-bonus weekend... Well my idiocy aside, still interesting that Jagex has removed the 14 days membership.

Well my idiocy aside, still interesting that Jagex has removed the 14 days membership.I had spent 4 hours derping around on the tutorial, trying to complete every quest that they gave me, etc. before a friend told me about the options menu :/ I'd imagine the change has something to do with how easy it was for goldfarmers to create new accounts and generate quick income via members-only methods without needing to pay anything, and then that account would just be disposable at the end, and/or the return rate of membership purchases was low.

April 22, 201214 yr Didn't we have this exact same thread the other week? You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.

April 22, 201214 yr This [is] that thread. That would explain why I couldn't find it to link to... You make it sound like running through a few level 87 monsters is hard which it really shouldn't be at your level.
April 22, 201214 yr thread created 3 April and yup I think it was temporarily removed, or never at all, but a simple mistake.
April 22, 201214 yr Wasn't it only available to certain countries? I painted some stuff and put it on tumblr
April 27, 201214 yr Uhm, my friend had been testing out with the 14 day trial accounts. And he noticed a certain pattern, I think it's every month you can make a new account that is available for the 14 day trial. Only now it's optional.
April 27, 201214 yr When I made my DIY account 12 days ago it didn't give me the option to start as f2p. [hide=Account stats] [/hide]My DIY Blog
