January 28, 200620 yr Something happened to me that has never happened before. It's probably just a common thing but i'm a noob so... OK so anyways, I was barrowing. I killed guthan with fire blast just when he life drained me, so when he threw up his arms and died, he still had hp left. A message came up and said this: Wierd huh? It didn't count towards my kill count either. Will i have to fight guthan as well as karil in the barrows? Can someone help sort this out? thanks.
January 28, 200620 yr I've only noticed this once and I got an item on that run. I was wondering about this as well.. Edit: Maybe since you didn't get a kill count it just makes that message whenever you let a brother out but leave without killing him?

January 28, 200620 yr Maybe there is a correlation between this message (for whatever reason it appears) and getting an item. I'll be on the lookout for it more now..
January 28, 200620 yr Are you sure it didn't count towards your kill count. I've had this happened a few times on Guthan and it always counted for me. It happens when he heals just as he's dying. A few people have told me that you can kill him again in the tunnels but I've never had him pop up. And no I've gotten this message and never got an item on that trip so I think its just a coincidence

January 28, 200620 yr Yeah, this thing happened to me with Guthan recently, he left, I got a kill count. He also sometimes heals even though he hits a zero on your prayer... lol. Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well.And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. I was sitting there killing Guthan, but he just didn't want to go down, and then after about 15-20 fire waves he said "We'll finish this later ...". That was the first time I got a Warspear. The only time, in fact ... What was your reward from that chest? Oh yeah. That's right.
January 28, 200620 yr I've had that message several times over the course of 200 runs, never noticed if it gave me an item. I have noticed it often on Guthan, but I think I have seen it with other pinkys too, so I'm not sure about the 'heal then die' thing.

January 28, 200620 yr maybe it means you could get a item or something or it could just be something random that happens and you probably did get the kill count or its just a bug and I wouldn't worry about it too much.
January 28, 200620 yr It's the same message you get when you leave the fight before killing the brother. They mean they'll finish it in the dungeon below. January 28, 200620 yr Yeah, often times he heals on me just as he would've died and his bar still shows green but he still goes down. I get that message from him only, but it doesn't seem to have a connection to when he heal/dies or if he just dies, I get it randomlly with or without him dieing with health. I've gotten an item 2 out of the 6 times I got that message but I think thats just a coincidence [spoiler=Levels]
