hitman76
I've always been a defence noob, and its for no reason at all (not a pker, or a monster hunter...yet) so i plan on going for the 99 through slayer. I do understand the Chaotic Rapier is one of if not the best weapons in the game for training purposes, but to be quiet frank i really dont enjoy dungineering at all (currently lvl 32) and as much as people do recommend i just push through it, for the time being i'd rather not  so my question is which would be best to have (keeping in mind i will be training strictly through slayer) in terms of a primary weapon: -Saradomin Godsword (always wanted one, and i think i might still get one regardless of what you all say  ) -Saradomin Sword -Any other God Sword...? -I do currently own a whip, but i was wondering if i should fork out the 3mil and add the vine to it, or just stick to one of the above options? honestly i love my whip, and have been using it as a primary weapon for a very long time, but i just wanted something out of the norm, for a while at least. Also if you guys have any armour setup suggestions i'd appreciate that as well  Just to help you guys out with the helping me out (lol no english today, just finished an exam and brain hurts): Attack: 85 Strength: 85 Defence: 88 Consitution: 89 Prayer: 70 (plan on pushing it up to 80 before i start) Range: 86 Mage: 80 Summoning: 74 and Slayer: 80 Thanking you all in advance, [Thank you very much Skull_Emblem For the Beutiful Sig And Jopie for doing the Text]
Octarine
Whip+defender will still be better than a Sara sword for def training. The whip vine doesn't add much but I guess if you have the cash spare you might aswell get it SGS spec is ok for conserving prayer/hp, though it's only really good for the special - it'l be awful as a standard weapon. Claws would be a better spec weapon to get Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Post here! Quyneax
If you are slaying, use Korasi's sword for specials in single combat, claws are really not worth it. Korasi's is also a nice stab weapon and accurate slash weapon (Saradomin sword has higher raw dps). Using a godsword means not caring about kill speed. They are slow and useless. If you really want a sword specifically, rapier > cls > Korasi's = Sara sword. icebreaker
you should use abysal vine whip for almost every task, someone above commented its not worth the 3m, but i disagree, it has better stats, poisons the enemy, and actually has a useful special! You should use korasi sword on metal dragon task as they are weak to stabA sgs or zamorakain spear i would recommend for waterfiends, however, you can not train defence with either of those two weapons while using crush(which is waterfiends weakness), meaning the best weapon for waterfiends that would train defence beside chaotic maul would be ancient magic staff, however this is not a very good option either, so if yur bent on training defence you might be better off banning waterfiends. Ezee
For armour depending on the tasks I'd suggest Bandos [if you have cash.] > Barrows > Rune
