April 23, 201214 yr Creating Geyser titans gives you 783.2xp and gives a loss of around 10k. Creating Lava titans gives you 730.4xp and gives a loss of around 1.6k. You must collect obsidian charms.Creating Moss Titans gives you 695.2xp and gives a loss of around 2.5k. So which is worth doing more, with glacors as the way to collect charms AND the money maker. (At around 45 kills/hour) Although I'm guessing there are universal GP/hour thresholds which make each one better, those would be nice to know.
April 23, 201214 yr If you already have the obsidian charms then do lava titans instead of geysers. If you don't have them then stick to geysers. The time needed to collect all the obsidian charms could be spent doing frosts, tds, glacors, etc. for cash. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the sword in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come." "An imperfect man can do great deeds, and a great man imperfect ones.
April 23, 201214 yr Imagine getting 7832k xp (10000 geysers). Let's say you make 2500 pouches per hour, you make 50 blues per hour and 2m gp per hour (profit). One geyser pouch costs 1 + 222*25 + 8703 = 14254 gp and sells for 3900 gp (in shards). Total loss 10354 gp each, total cost 103.540k gp.You will take 4 hours to make the pouches, 200 hours to gather the blues, no extra hours to make the money (50 hours total moneymaking required, e.g. 150 hours bonus). Average summoning xp/hr would be about 38.4k. Now try lava titans. You need to make 10723 pouches, requiring an additional ~14.5 hours of gathering blues. You will save 86.106k gp, requiring an additional ~15 hours plus the time to gather obsidian charms. At 2m/hr, you may take up to 28 hours to gather 10723 obsidian charms (380/hr approx). For moss titans, you need to make 11266 pouches, requiring an additional ~25 hours of gathering blues. You will save 74.665k gp, requiring an additional 25.5 hours. At 2m/hr, that is worth it. Comparing lava and moss titans, you save about 10.5m and 10 hours doing lava titans, so you really have only 15 hours to gather all the obby charms (700/hr or so). Of course this ignores crimson charms and effigies, and you may get different rates, it's just an example. I'd say that in general your constraint is blues, not money, but even so the cost difference for geysers is massive. April 23, 201214 yr I suggest doing geysers if you are planning on using 100% blue charms for effigies. If you are planning on using crimsons as the main source (via gathering at something like waterfiends?) and blues as you get them, I would use them on moss titans. Geysers are a lot more expensive for a fairly low gain. But blues are hard to collect. Personally I did geysers, but I didn't realize how much cheaper moss titans were. Due to collecting your own obsidian charms.. I don't like doing that. But if you do, it would be better than geysers. TLDR; Geysers if you already have money. Moss titans if you need/want to save GP and plan on gathering non-blues as well. Maxed since Sunday, January 9th, 2014Completionist since Wednesday, June 4th, 2014
April 24, 201214 yr Author Hmm. Thanks a lot for that, Q. I do intend on getting 96 (and 99) summoning ASAP which means i will be using all crims and even green/golds, and also pushes me towards geysers... But the huge cost difference is giving me second thoughts. I put lavas in there mostly because i expected someone to call me stupid for missing out lavas, i didn't really consider actually collecting obby charms, but now you mention effigies.. I wonder what the effigy rate is with those, a single effigy is worth about an hour of charm collecting (+ a little extra for none summoning levels) which puts the fairly narrow time difference even narrower, not to mention the small amount of profit gained collecting which would cheapen the training AND the fairly impressive combat training is always a bonus... If i understand correctly, assuming i do manage 700 obby charms an hour (i have no idea how plausible that is.) Lava titans would save me 86m for 30 hours(over geysers), plus all the bonus stuff above. It seems silly NOT to do lavas now... Brb, researching drop rates of obby charms. :P
April 24, 201214 yr my personal situation i quit using gold charms at like 78 summoning. I felt like it was a waste of time for xp per hr and return for selling the pouches. all i use now is crim charms, making granite lobsters, and greens with fruit bat since it seems like i dont loose as much money as using golds, and i save blues for when i do summoning. this is just my opinion about golds, have over 5k in bank and dont intend on using them,

It makes me quite sad. 2500 * 87 = 217500xp an hour using gold charms to create barker toads, assuming you already have the charms. That only costs 1325000 coins, too. Making it about 6gp/xp. For reference, you need to collect over 500 crimsons an hour to compete with that xp rate, and the cost would be more, too. I'd also argue you can make >3000 pouches an hour using tokkul ring but whatever. Edit: For a very small loss (Still less than 8gp/xp) you can simply sell noted swamp toads to pikkupstix and buy unnoted, and make ~10000 pouches an hour, or 870k xp/hour... So yeah... USE YOUR GOD DAMN GOLDS <.<
April 24, 201214 yr last time i was making baker toad pouches was right after bot nuke day, and 2nds were high so in all fairness that could have been a factor.. i just use spirit kyat or whatever since i have over 60 useless glories. lol.. but if using gold and only loosing 1k for baker toad i might need to re-evaluate the use of them. but i only summon once i have over 3k crims and 3k green's. i just do it all in 1 shot. pretty pathetic i know.thanks frog
