Getting a Void Deflector?

Dusk Souls

Recommended Posts

As the title says, I really really want to get a Deflector; but I suck at Conquest and due helping a "friend" get his own deflector I tanked my ranking, so can anybody offer some help?

The easiest way would be to find another "friend" and have them tank rating for you just as you did.

Strategy is another whole can of wyrms. Double and triple champ strategies are probably the easiest to play and still beat most noobs, but more advanced strategies forgo them all together. All I can say is that halberds are my go-to unit :shades:

I think I'll ask in my clan if someone wants to help me; but in case anyone here wants to help me, just send me a PM in game. I would be extremely grateful.

Halberds are the only unit to have both range (= no retaliation) and more than 100 health (= not one-hit by bombard/scout/soldier/archer so they can retaliate). They are quite powerful for their cost. Keeping a knight or two also helps for one-hitting champions with Battle Cry, as some people love to Regenerate them a lot. I also like to keep an archer to one-hit the weaker units, with battle cry if neccesary.

You want to have as many commands as you can, but expensive isn't always better. Charge and Battle Cry are practically required, Shield Wall is nice (maxes damage done to a unit to 100, so it doesn't work on units with only 100 health), I personally like Chastise as well, and Vigilance - Chastise doesn't work on the last unit and Vigilance has some issues with range. Winds of Fate is fun but not neccesarily the best, and I'd rather have another halberd or two than Regenerate or Bombard. Stoicism I haven't used but it seems useful enough.

I like it for using it in similar situations where you would use shield wall. The nice thing is that you can use it on units with only 100 HP and in most cases the unit won't actually lose base HP.

Suicide from a friend is the slowest thing in the world. I don't know why people recommend it.

Take a couple of hours of your day to learn the game, then spend maybe 6 games getting your rank - still faster than suicides and a lot more fun.

Your friend will be in the gutter by the end of your suicides if you really go through with it.

Indeed.

Always remember they're just runescape players you're going against, likely not genious material by average.

I think I lost 3 games in total while getting my deflector.
