greenfingers question....

I have 32K points to use, and no greenfingers, but I do make a good amount of my money from farming. I have master reverence, master call of the sea, and JOAT, should I use my points on greenfingers, and second question, do I activate greenfingers at the start of my farm run? I assume so, but just asking......

Or is there something better to spend my points on???

I want to make more money to buy santa hats while there are under $100M which shouldnt be too much longer, now that they are rising again....

what do you mean leave it on for a full 20 minutes, my herb runs are like 4 1/2 minutes.

Also how much does each tier matter? I can get the first 2 right now, maybe another month or two before I can get 3rd.

But I also want to get the 4th tier revereance and 3rd and 4th call of the sea, but I do make a good amount of my money from farm runs.

How much of an increase are we talking about?

You can remove the aura after 20 minutes past the hour, 40 minutes past the hour, or on the hour. There's usually a bit of lag, so I'd recommend deactivating it 2 minutes later.

For example, you finish your herb run and it's 5:34 pm. Wait till 5:40 (or 5:42 to be safe) to deactivate your aura. You don't have to wait the full 20 minutes.

Activate at the top of your herb run, so you will get the (possible) extra herbs (not many, but it all counts and such)

It gives protection from disease whilst it is equipped. Keep it on for the entire 20minutes available and it'll work for that period.

Only changes the number of "extra" herbs you are supposed to get (think it changes from 3% to 5% then 7%)

The first tier of Greenfingers is the best value because it's very cheap att only 5k points and has the largest marginal benefit--it gives you both disease protection (which should reduce death rate by about 25%) and +3% harvest.

Subsequent tiers only give you the boosted harvest, and because of the increased cost to upgrade, the value's not quite as good. You get an extra +2% for T2, another +2% for T3, and finally another +3% for T4. They're still okay, since you do get extra money after all, but I would only go past the first tier for torstol farming, where the additional bonus is much, much more relevant and important. (And assuming you have the juju and scroll of life, the additional tiers are going to pretty much guarantee that torstol will be the best herb for you to farm.)

You go from averaging 8.8 herbs per patch (44 herbs per run) to averaging 9.68 herbs per patch (48.4 herbs per run) with tier 4. With torstols at 28 k per thats an additional 123 k profit per run with tier 4 vs 36 k profit per run with tier one. Given 6 runs per day that's 768 k profit with tier 4 and 216 k profit with tier 1.

You can decide what you value your loyalty points at. I personally make most of my money from farming torstol and put in 8 runs a day so for me an extra mil profit a day is well worth the extra points I paid for higher greenfingers tiers.
