currently cannoning hellhounds.. any better methods?

 

1. Don't ever farm clue scrolls.

 

2. If you don't care about what type of clue you're getting then cannoning goblins west of rimmington is ~1-2 min per easy clue.

 

3. For hard clues waterfiends have ~1 an hour in my experience (at my stats with goliath gloves/void)

I've always found banshees pretty good clue droppers, but if you're happy to get easy clues, then pickpocketing HAM folks is fairy good too.

Why no farm clues? And I'm lookin more for meds or harder

They're not good money, that's why.

I didn't ask for good money though, just the best way to farm clues.

But if you're set on farming clues go with waterfiends. At least then you're going to get charms and some 200 k profit per hour to help the awful profit clues are. Hell hounds by comparison are 100% loss.

If you are doing them as a diversion, just train slayer. On most assignments, I get a clue scroll (possibly more if I were to do them right away).

 

For level 2 clues, try guards. I found abberrant spectres to be good level 3 clue droppers when I got them on my slayer assignments.

 

There are better ways of making money than with clue scrolls......

Again, i am not arguing that they're the best moneymaker. I want to know how to get them fast because I have fun doing them.

Level 1s: Pick pocket hams

Level 2s: Kill Harpy Bug Swarms

Level 3s: General Slayer, Hellhounds, Jellies, Turoths.
