Best melee XP?

Stats are below - Looking to get 90 attack the fastest way possible really.

 

I have:

 

Whip - Soon to be C rapier

D defender

Neitiznot helm

Torag Top

Torag Legs

D boots

Glory (could be fury if needed)

Barrows gloves

Fishing Cape (t)

 

Are armoured zombies my best shot at achieving this quickly? I don't care about money, just the best xp/h please!

If you can, do the dominion tower dagganoth sennitles (sp?) fight, using goliath gloves, if not, a bandos Godsword works, using the special every5 minutes. Not sure i you have access to them though. If not, monkey skeletons with salve (e) are amazingly afk.

Get Zerker ring -> Fury -> Bcp -> Tassets, this improves you dps in the cheapest way, if you don't have bandos, use proslyte, prayer bonus allows extended trips. :)

Also use slayer for training. I seriously regret being 98 all melees with only 83 slayer. >_>

Yeh as mentioned Dagganoth Sentinels are very good experience you'll need to complete the 'Blood Runs Deep' quest to access them which will in itself grant you 3x150,000 experience to any combat skills. I would probably recommend bandos godsword as the special. Either use void or Bandos for your gear and if you can afford to get extremes/overloads and turmoil before you get killing them. If you aren't gonna get turmoil/overloads remember to still use piety/supers.

Best melee exp/hr spots assuming maxed gear/stats.

 

[hide]Dagannoth Sentinels - 150-180 k exp/hr with maxed gear and below 95 summoning with 95 summoning you can tack on an additional 70-80 k exp/hr. No charms.

 

Vyrelords/ladies after Branches of Darkmeyer - With maxed gear ~140-150 k exp/hr with ~400 k profit from blood and death rune drops. They are always aggressive so its very afk. You need to have burnt 500 vyrewatch corpses for max effectiveness. No charms.

 

Zombie Monkeys on Ape Atoll - With Dharok's or otherwise maxed gear this can reach the 140 k exp/hr mark but comes at zero profit. No charms.

 

Armoured Zombies - Maxes at 110 k exp/hr with ~150 k profit. Poor charms.

 

Slayer - Averages out to be around 100 k exp/hr with good blocks/cancels. Average Charms.

 

Waterfiends - ~80 k exp/hr with ~200 k profit/hr. Great charms (130 crimsons an hour).

Ambler nailed the gear upgrades you should focus on. If you have branches of darkmeyer done I recommend you go to them for pure melee exp. If you eventually want to max total someday its definitely better to do slayer sooner rather than later.

Waterfiends have better charm rates than slayer... you mean better slayer xp rate. Slayer is a horrible waste of time unless you want slayer xp.

 

Waterfiends are probably the best straight-up melee+summoning xp. Sentinels are by far the best in pure melee xp/hr, but almost require defence-lowering specials to reach the maximum xp/hr.
