Bad911
I have a fury, bandos set, dragon claws, and a spectral shield that I'm debating whether to sell. At first, I couldn't care if they dropped a few millions of gpz, and the combat system isn't going to be out for at least a few months, but now....I'm just kinda shocked they crashed so hard, how ridiculous are people? Should I just sell them away and buy them back later when they're cheaper, or just keep them? So far, spectral shield has fallen from 19.2m-16m~ (Med price) from when I bought it.Bandos set 24.5m-20m~(Med price).Dragon claws 12.5m-8.1m(Med price).Fury 6.5m-5.4m(Med price). E:I originally bought them to play soul wars and clan wars with my friends/clan. Other than that, I sometimes use bandos set for slayer and only fury for training. (I use void for Vyres, better than bandos imo).

If anything they'll follow godswords up as people decide they're at a good point to invest in. Also, you should look at the combat beta AS the combat update, since it will effectively tell players what is and isn't good and prices will adjust accordingly. Urza285
Panic selling is common during these events. If you can see yourself using these items in the long term I would advise by selling them. The one thing I would look into is how often you use the item, how you view the possession of the item and could you justify keeping the item up to and through its price stabilization point. Some of your items may be going crazy right now, buy that's where the though of keeping them long term comes in. I am fairly certain that you won't truly know when a these high end combat items truly stabilize in both price and player use until a few months past the betas been over and set I stone. For all we know things could dirasticly change and that's why people are selling because they are afraid of loss. One think I always kept in mind is how I played the game. I found that I enjoy having the best gear. I also found that even though I don't PVM as much as I desire it gives me a sense of completion to this ever growing game. I feel compelled to push to obtain the best gear and for the most part I have reasonably done so. Because I hold those views I don't look at my gear as something I can sell... That idea remains beyond the horizon unless there is something so great and worth the loss to pitch my items. Should that case happen I end up setting goals of rebuying the items. Major Dash
Even if you sell the rest of it, keep the Fury. “I had a feeling we weren’t coming back from this fight when it began.”“Do you have any regrets?”“I don’t. It seems surprising, I know, but I wouldn’t change a thing. This is how it was meant to be.”“Huh, you never really notice how lovely the day is until you realize you’ll never see it again.”“Mmmhmm.”
Powerfrog
Sell the spectral. Nothing to do with the crash, it's just rubbish. :P You should keep the rest though. The damage has already been done in terms of panic sales, the combat update isn't gonna happen for a long time and the items are still useful, plus we don't even know how the update is gonna effect the items. Bandos and fury - Surely the offensive bonuses will still apply with the new weapons. They're rare items so can't get much of a nerf if they are to be rebalanced. Claws - Probably gonna be nerfed pretty heavily. But it's already crashed hard, and jagex are trying to claim the claws will still be very powerful, which at worst will calm down panic sellers, at best will make them shoot up in price again once beta opens and we see if they're still powerful. Sy_Accursed
I agree with Powerfrog aside from the 'update isn't going to happen for a longtime' bit. Yes it is not due til september, but the beta starts in 2 weeks time. Once players get into the beta we are going to know how the gear will end up. Sure a few bits here and there might change but we are going to see all the new stats and dps and have numbers to crunch formulas with and before long there will be a pretty solid picture of how armours are panning out and as such prices in the main game and desirability will begin to shift. Yes we will still have an interim of a few months, but at the same time cost wise it will probably be useful/wise for the poorer players to dump armours and buy new stuff before the prices go up etc. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

Claws for example, if you wanna do bandos you really have no alternative (AGS maybe, but that's worse, more expensive and also crashing) You're right that they could sell and then rebuy, if they're not gonna use them anyway. But i honestly can't see them crashing much lower.
