July 6, 201214 yr If you're max melee, even with like torag top/body, helm of nezinot or however its spelled, drag boots, rapier, drag defender, sw cape, zerker ring, goliaths/barrows gloves is a fast method, but even better since you have bandos which will be better str bonus, and if slayer task slayer helm ofc Me behave? Seriously? July 6, 201214 yr Don't bother venging Jad. Just claw him and rapier him to death, ignoring healers. Either that or save claws for when healers come out.
July 6, 201214 yr Author Overcompensation I guess. Made 2 attempts, first attempt was maging the Ket Zeks with pps and meleeing everything else, took about an hour, I venged and double clawed jad, missed a pray switch and died. Second Attempt was pure melee. Took about 40 min. Accidentally use my EE spec instead of brews so just pure rapier on jad that time, I can't get the timing of the prays right it seems... I try to switch right after the projectile (mage/melee) hits me, but apparently that's too slow? Reminds me of the old days when it took me 6 tries ranged only to get Fc. <_< ||
July 6, 201214 yr You're meant to switch before the projectile is launched. He means for the melee hit.
July 6, 201214 yr Applies for everything. Prayer must be switched before the animation begins. Jad has an emote before mage/ranged attacks but no real attack animation, which is why his telltales can't be cancelled. This means that prayer must be switched before the projectile is launched. Really don't understand how people could have not worked this out after a few hours of combat.
July 6, 201214 yr Author Switches are done right after I see the animation...I click the prayer icon. But sometimes the prayer doesnt turn on in time. Server and ping issues most likely. Thanks a lot 50mbps down 15mbps up connection. You're real helpful. Anyway, failed two more times, throwing in the towel for now. Thanks for the advice. ||
July 6, 201214 yr Are you specifically wanting to melee him, or do you just want a firecape? If you have dungeoneering shield that soaks damage, just get maximum mage soak, and pray ranged while maging Jad. (No need to prayer swap). July 7, 201214 yr If you could tribrid, it definitely isn't a ping or similar technical issue. It's a problem with your gameplay.

July 8, 201214 yr Author Bro. As a master tribridder, my clicks were plenty fast. The last death was due to the server not activating the prayers as soon as I clicked them. I think it was w54. ||

July 18, 201213 yr Author Just got the task again. Switched right after I saw the projectile hit my character instead of right after I saw the hitsplat. Cleaved through jad like butter, not even dclawing him. ALL ABOUT THE TIMING. ||
