Anti Fire Cape

Featured Replies

Well what do you think? i really think that this should be a new item. with the same functioning as an anti fire shield. obviously much harder to obtain perhaps a drop from these dark beasts or something.

How does wearing a cape (Remeber, capes are worn on your back) help you from getting a face full of dragon breath?

(I'd post more, but thats not really needed, is it? I mean perhaps if people gave more thought, I'd spend more than 1 second debugged/attempting to debug or even accept their ideas.)

Choasbringer hits the nail on the head there, unless your going to turn around every time a drag shoots fire at you then a cape is pointless.

Agaisn't pures

Nope, it would make killing dragons alot easier since you then could use barrows to kill dragons...

But a cape is not gona keep your face from getting too warm. So you would die.

well a shield magically protects your bottom if your facing away

I dont know. Chaosbringer is right about the cape unable to protect you against dragon fire. How about something a lttle more protective. A helmet maybe.

exactly what i was thinking.

Well, even though I don't believe this should be added, it could work, just by 2 things.

First of all, it could be magic. An "aura" of sorts could surround you and protect you somewhat.

Second... It's RuneScape. I've blocked fire with my shield, when the dragon attacked me from behind... And if you want to be really technical, I should never be hit, because the weapons that attack me never actually touch me, they stop about 5 - 10 pixels away

If you wanna get that technical about capes, then no cape should contribute to defense when you are attacked fromt he front, gloves should not protect attacks to anything besides the hands, boots to anything besides the legs, etc.

The only valid point I think I saw in this thread was the one saying it would be too easy to use barrows vs. dragons.

Yet a potion you drink does sheild you from attack

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Or are you suggesting an anti-fire blanky!

what, pray tell, is the point in legs armour and boots when, i personally, dont know about anyone else, have NEVER been hit in the legs/feet so technically a fire-proof cape is a great idea

I love how the animation is so blocky when you stab someone; the only thing on your character that moves is their forearm. Also, when you equip a bow its in the non dominant hand for a righty.

Anyway, anti firebreath armour might be interesting. It should be a rare drop from some new boss type monster or something. I imagine it would be orange..... like the sheild.

btw, they should allow you to equip a sheild with a bow. youd weild the sheild on the arm you hold the bow with, and use the other hand to fire (if you've ever fired a real bow, you realize you dont need to move the arm that holds the actual bow really....just the hand that fires).....hm........nvm that part.

If anything, the Fire Cape from the tzhaar fight caves should do the same as the firebreath shield

allright i have an idea how about the cape could work when fighting you take the cape and pull it around in front of you like in the movies where dracula pulls his cape around in front of him and all you see r his eyes/hair. just a thought
