Nien
Hello dear Tip.it Community! I have come to greatly enjoy the merchanting style of Flipping and was wondering what the Tip.it Community enjoyed flipping the most in F2P. Thoughts? Also, I'm curious as to what styles of Flipping you guys use/do. Post below! Most of you probably do not know me, and that's ok, I'm just here to relearn and reteach myself this game that is Runescape. I quit in September of 2011, and have only gotten on twice since then (for maybe 5minutes each time). So I'm quite behind on what methods, etc. are most efficient. My current biggest issue is in-game money. I have a entire bank worth of at most 200k.What methods are best for making money when you're only F2P (I am planning on getting P2P in the next month), but currently I need money and am out-of-date to what methods are best. Suggestions? I will add more questions as things come up, thank you to anyone who can/is willing to help! EDIT: I also just noticed that for some odd reason, my skills/stats do not show in the highscores. I know they should because I have at least one 99 stat and many stats that would be in scores normally. Anyone know why mine are missing? JeRambo
Yeah it is a little frustrating. Cooking rocktails is still a little profitable last I checked..Herb farming, marigolds, cactus picking, dailies, and definitely doing the Throne of Miscellania and the Royal Trouble quest, and getting workers in your kingdom. Then you could start working on other quests. (Some give good XP rewards) Could focus on free skills while you slowly work on getting some money in. I suggest these: Span for RC.Maple logs bonfire. (Will get large amounts of maples from your kingdom) Switch to jadinko lair when you can. AFK and 100% free.Mining iron ore @ Falador mines and depositing it in the resource dungeon deposit box. Will also bring you a small amount of GP in.Pickpocketing or Pyramid Plunder for Thieving.Train combat through slayer. Collect all charms along the way. Slayer will bring you in some profit as well. If you want any more suggestions let me know. :P. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. JeRambo
Well.. I gave him advice for when he becomes P2P.. :)...My bad though, totally missed that, sorry. The iron ore mining is F2P though. :D.Yew woodcutting. Not that it's great money, but I've personally made over 10M cutting yews in F2P. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. Nien
Hahaha. Thanks for the help (to the both of you). Regardless of whether the suggestions were P2P or not, they will be helpful later on. Is iron ore a decent money output per hour? Or is it less than 100k/hr? I heard a rumor that oak logs are decent profit/hr as well? Just curious as to what's best out there. Still using Span for RC (currently training it at this exact moment, actually). I'll probably start trying out different money methods after 70 RC'ing (~15minutes until I get 69, so probably starting on money-making tomorrow). JeRambo
I'm not sure on the exact amount of ores/logs you can gather in an hour, but I would think iron ore mining would be over 100k/hr, but not oak logs. But then again, your mining level is relatively low, am I correct? Could start flipping small amounts of items like raw lobsters, ores, etc. "Night gathers, and now my watch begins. So it'd still be relatively slow.I'm 80 Woodcutting however, so I don't know. The only problem, is I have probably all of 30k in cash to use, and I don't think that'd be anywhere near enough money to even turn a slightly decent profit by flipping lobsters/ores/etc. :? Low Levelled
Honestly if you left in late 2011 not much has changed for f2p money making. It still sucks. Try to merch.
Nien
Yeah, it feels longer and like the game components have changed so much that initially it seemed SO different, but as you said, it's essentially the same. I started flipping. And over the past day I made ~1.1M. Hehehe. What do you guys flip usually? And what styles do you guys use?I want to gain new styles, etc. and try stuff out. Post below. :) P.S. Curious: do you guys know of any good Merchanting/Flipping clans?Names, please? Low Levelled
Just flip some of the more popular f2p stuff like yews, or coal. If you can afford higher priced stuff then you can try that. It's more of a risk reward than buying in bulk.

It's more of a risk reward than buying in bulk. Currently, I'm flipping 15k Chaos Runes and making ~60-80k per flip. They're on the cheaper side, so is it better to do Yews or such, or stay with the 'smaller', but larger bulk, items?
