February 3, 200620 yr ya sorry i got mixed up... lol, i couldnt find a topic of this so i started one  ok thats kool. but has anyone noticed a lot of the top riffs are so simple? How come today no one can come up with great riffs anymore. There was that one 'welcome home' song that had a pretty sweet riff.

February 6, 200620 yr My favorite instrumental without a doubt is "green onions" by Booker T and the MGs. Another sweet instrumental is "rebel rouser" by Duane Eddy. I have to add this story to accompany green onions. My friend and I were out on the town while my parents were away one summer. We had set out to steal a road sign because we were idiots at the time. But anyway green onions comes on the radio. My friend tried to change the station referring to it as a "crapstrumental". I wasn't going to let that stand. Anyway we turned, and saw a road sign, post and all, laying on the ground by the side of the road. So I drove up over the curb to grab it, tossed it in the truck, started to pull away. At that very instant a cop drove by and pulled a u-turn. I remember our reactions exactly. My friend and I turned and looked at each other, then I said "$--t" and he said "we're ****ed". We didn't get arrested luckily, but parents were called, and we were definitely in deep trouble. So that's my green onions story :)
February 6, 200620 yr I mainly listen to music to listen to the intro's and riff's lyrics get borring after a while and i turn music off .lol. In that case: The Final Countdown - Europe. Memorable intro and a kick [wagon] guitar solo :) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

The Final Countdown's cool, but when you have idiots at school humming it, whistling it, and singing "ITTT"SS THE FINAL COUUNTDOOWWN" all day, it gets annoying. That and the My humps song. That's been pretty bad lately. ;( It really has

I can see that getting very annoying indeed. Especially when they do the chorus over and over because they don't know the verses. I think I can fart the keyboard bit in the Final Countdown :P This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

February 17, 200620 yr Mute Math's Reset is pretty good instrumental, and wild to see live. some Daft Punk stuff Squarepusher's Mutilation Colony is a good listen when I'm in the mood. Sampsa Meets Kafka by Showbread is a great instrumental, but more of a filler.
