RuneScape Information

  1. NVM #-o I thought I found someone to add to the list, but they're already listed
  2. I have barely played this minigame, but I also totally hate it. The thing I hate about it is the entire premise of wrangling those orbs into the center. It's nowhere near as entertaining as FoG, and that's because it doesn't involve combat. Imagine you're drawing an orb in, when an opponent puts up a barrier in front of you. Instead of destroying the barrier, what if you could destroy that opponent with a barrage of arrows? Personally I think that would be a huge improvement.
  3. I think it's important to keep things in perspective. At one time, you had to hop to world 1 and walk around through hundreds of people, spamming items they were buying and selling. The GE has made gathering materials, so much easier than it once was, why should it be made easier still? If you follow that line of thought further, why not be able to set up GE offers without even going to a bank at all? The game becomes pointless if you are constantly going to make everything faster and easier. A certain challenge has to be maintained. Having to teleport to varrock to use the GE, is just as reasonable, as ore not being mined directly beside a bank.
  4. I completely disagree with f2p needing a new melee weapon. Melee is already the strongest nonmember combat style, so a new weapon would only exacerbate the lopsided combat triangle. There are a couple of problems. First off, there isn't any real threat posed by a mage, to higher lvl warriors. A lvl 120 something with a scimitar has nothing to fear from a mage with 99 magic. As a result, warriors pretty much reign supreme in nonmember worlds, and can barely damage one another. That's the second problem. F2p armor is too good for F2p weapons. Here's an idea that I think could improve the situation. The crushing melee weapons in F2p have never really had any purpose. They aren't even close to a scimitar in effectiveness, even against plate armor (which is where they should shine). If the crush accuracy of weapons like the warhammer, baxe, and 2h were greatly improved, they could become viable pvp weapons. Combine this with a reduction in F2p armor crush defense, and I think you would see much more exciting battles between warriors in full rune. My favorite part of this idea is that it wouldn't make f2p warriors any more dangerous to rangers or mages than they already are. What it would do, is bring a bit more diversity to melee weapons that are used
  5. LordJake knows what's up :D That's what I carry, though don't forget the rune scimitar as a backup. Also, I only carry 100 addy arrows, because I'm cheap like that.
  6. I really like the idea of linking accounts together. That would make it much easier to ban large quantities of autoers being used by one player. Having Aubery ask questions is also a clever concept. They could do it just like that account safety dungeon, you can't teleport until you get it right. Good suggestions Rtp
  7. A friend of mine once saved lamps with the intention of waiting until she leveled prayer. She wanted the extra 10 xp per lamp, but ultimately gave up because she had 14 lamps in her inventory. I doubt she took a picture of it, but I thought it was hilarious she would go to those lengths for 140 extra xp.
  8. You bet :D I've got a romanian AKM variant as well as Chinese and Bulgarian Kalashnikovs. Very astute cookiestealer, you get bonus points :P .
  9. Excellent questions verie (double space) bad :P I'm afraid I won't be keeping track of my sticky anymore. I can't remember the last time I updated it, but it is quite outdated. I think the most tragic part of that, was that Danesi's list never received the recognition it deserved. My list wasn't anywhere near as extensive, or detailed. Either way, F2pers still have the wonderful runehead list to rely on. http://www.runehead.com/clans/ml.php?cl ... rt=overall I would like to think my greatest achievement in runescape was to help give F2pers the acknowledgement they were due, and also to inspire other nonmembers to accomplish their goals. To answer your second question verie bad, Statgod2 quit a couple months ago after he was hacked. I was pretty sad to see him go as well, but after he lost so much, there was just no way to come back from that. It would have taken him years to recover his net worth, and he really made the right decision to move on. I hate to have to say goodbye to all of you, but I am confident that it's the right choice. Thank you all for your kind words, you will be missed.
  10. My post is coming after a long delay, but I figured I should give some sort of official farewell, even if late. I finally am giving up my two year runescape addiction, after supplanting it with a whole new addiction  . I'll cite two reasons that I have decided to move on. The first and most obvious is my new toy. My motorcycle gave me something tangible, to divert my attention away from the monitor. While researching bikes to buy, and then buying one, it gave me a chance to reflect on the staggering volume of time I was dedicating to this MMORPG. Then, the most decisive inspiration hit me like a tidal wave. The tragedy of The Old Nite passing away raised warning flags in my mind. When I received this terrible news, I was already in a transitioning phase, but it was a wakeup call. Our lives and our health are fleeting things, which can easily pass us by before we even realize it. I couldn't continue to sit here and let the best of my years slip through my fingers, into a keyboard, any longer. It was like I was trading my real life for a game, because I never could balance it with other aspirations. Runescape has been a fantastic source of enjoyment and it certainly is hard to walk away from. Each level gained was sweeter than the last, but the skills I trained cannot match the friends I had the privilege to know. These kind acquaintances truly are what make runescape so wonderful. I won't give a list of names because I'm sure I would errantly miss a few, and also, some might object to being mentioned. Though I am relegating runescape to my past, I will never forget the players and events which shaped my experience. To these people, I'd just like to say thank you and good luck, in whatever you do. So long Runescape, AKM762 / Lim_Dul
  11. There has recently been quite a few f2p only players given mod status. I believe I met three brand new f2p mods in the last week. There have been F2p mods in the past too, many of whom post on these very boards.
  12. I thought I was pretty tough at lvl 25, so I figured I'd check out that wilderness I'd heard so much about. I went all the way north along the West wall of the wilderness, avoiding any Npcs, then I went East along the north wall. I got to the greater demons, where a couple of mages in monk robes swooped down upon me. I ran south, eating rat meat, but I was slaughtered by massive hits (6 and 7). I was shocked, I thought all my skills would go back to 1 after I died. I sure was relieved. ^ Killed by a cow, that's classic
  13. Here's everything I know about w16 air company. As previously mentioned, runners trade 25 unnoted ess to runecrafters, in exchange for 2500 gp and 25 noted ess. Runecrafters wear blue wizard robes, hat etc. and declare themselves "open" for runners to trade with. I just checked out world 16 air altar for the first time. I spent a couple hours there and 500k making 30k airs. Awesome operation, I can't give it high enough marks. Great runecrafting xp especially, I was trading runners nonstop. That was far better than my previous attempts to recruit runners on my own.
  14. Well said Greedom. I agree with you completely. Runescape certainly is lacking in respect, empathy and all around decency.
  15. I wish they would stop making skills progressively easier. It's already completely plausible to get 99 in any skill, so why does Jagex insist on making it rediculously simple. That's what they did with cooking when cook x came out and the same with prayer and ecto. Another thing is gp. It's becoming preposterously easy to gain gp in members. Think about how making money now, compares to rsc. Just in the course of training melee skills players can make 100m + while I made possibly 8m maxing out melee. Assuming this trend were to continue, eventually people could create an account and have straight 99s with a couple billion in the bank in a month. It's an insult to the people who already put in the time to accomplish high skill levels. So what I'm trying to say is, stop making it so easy Jagex!!!
