Blaze The Movie Fan Posted September 25, 2012 Share Posted September 25, 2012 I am 132K EXP away from getting 80 slayer. But I want to be prepared the first time I fight those monsters. I hope that I can just use my regular metal armor when fighting. I wanna ask anyone who does have at least 80 slayer. Are the spawns the necyaerls spawn any problem? Do I need to use a prayer to protect against them or do they do minor damage? I can't fight nechyearls yet, but when I do I want to be prepared, and I have a feeling I can fight them with my metal armor just like most other monsters, but I'm not sure. Zaaps1 Posted September 26, 2012 Share Posted September 26, 2012 Think of nechs as buffed up greater demons. Their drops are essentially the same and you fight them in the same way. The only time you really need to worry about the death spawns is if you are chinning or bursting in the chaos tunnels. In that case, because there are just so many on you, you'll want to pray melee (for the nechs) and bring a healing familiar or EEE (either alone is enough to counteract death spawn damage).
