Hey, I recently made DIY account and i also not long joined this forum, but i wasn't posting so i thought writing a blog for my DIY account might get me a bit more active on the forum. After have seen the well kept DIY blogs on TIF i thought it might be a lot of fun and also a real challenge, so far I'm having more fun then anything on this account it really brings me back to when i first started RS in 2006 as i never traded (mostly because i did need to.)

So let's begin.



My DIY rules

no trading (GE or otherwise - except for two quests, Shield of Arrav and Heroes' Quest)
no assist system
all monsters will be soloed
dungeoneering will be trained solo
no multiplayer minigames (mabye not including pest control)

Just completed Grand Tree Quest, i had forgotten what amount of xp you get from it.

 

Also what i though was a bit of a fail in jagex's logic

 

And earlier today i completed a daily challenge which i feel i got a bit much xp.

just another up-date slowly training my skills and doing quests.

 

Just got 40 Defense, it seemed like more of a milestone when rune armour was accessible at 40.

 

Also completed Priest in Peril, natures spirit and Lost city (forgot to print screen the first 2).

 

I will probably get around to completing fairy tale part 1 and starting part 2 soon as the ring system is useful.

I was about to say have fun with rune, but then I remembered... Addy is a bit harder to get too. At least you can buy the legs and helm at shops.

Already sorted:

another update, i was training slayer and finally got all the skill requirements for animal magnetism and i would have done this quest had it not been for the 1 of the required items being a mithril hatchet. i went looking and the best place to find one was meant to be from a tree spirit (level 14) drop in the Enchanted Vally.

When i found this out i set on getting there and to do that i completed fairy tale part 1, started part 2 just for the fairy rings and then i had finally made it to the Enchanted Vally. after about an hour of slaying Tree Spirits and only getting knifes i thought screw this I'll try green dragons. after my second kill i had no luck on a mith hatchet but i did manage a hard clue scroll:

 

 

After near getting killed by the third dragon i decided to try and complete this clue scroll thinking that there would be some ridiculous requirement on clue of the trail and it ending there, but no i was able to complete this clue scroll and the clues might possibliey have made this the easiest hard level clue scroll ever.

Up-date, went be to green dragons a could more times and still no mith hatchet managing 10+ kills with bone cross bow. On the third trip i got PKed :evil: and haven't yet been back. decided i wanted to do fremmy trials but unfortunately i needed a raw shark, so i ended up doing cold war (i really have to start remembering to screenshot quest complete pop-ups.) and some penguin hide and seek to get my slayer to 32 for mogers, did that and good lucky with raw shark on second kill (side note: accidentally bought 1k fishing explosives thinking they were 6gp ea when really there 60gp.)

 

I accidently bought 10 mystic robe tops once :(

@blake, Damn but at least you can sell them back or alch.

Randomly decided to do buyers and cellers and from tiny acorns

 

 

Also got enough of the Valantines Hearts to receive a Cupid bow, I'll find this very useful as i don't have easy access to yew or magic bows.

 

Started Freminnik Trials, after EoC Koschei is ridiculously easy.(not a single bite of food)

 

Completed Fremennik Trials and my Fremennik name is Tonrak

 

Also levels gained from quest.

Was intending to up-date sooner but was busy with irl stuff, i got death to the dorgeshuun completed and 3 clues from ham members when i was trying to get their robes for the quest.

The Saradomin arrows will come in handy when i try to obtain the holy cithara.

Haven't really done much on my diy account (too busy playing OSRS.) but i did just complete Eadgar's Ruse which helped me get from 36 to 39 herblore with only 238 till level 40. Also it 900 total level.

Latest News, A MITHRIL FREAKING HATCHET AT LONG LAST!

 

After about 60 or so kills and 1 death i finally got a mith hatchet (Which is meant to be a common drop), so now i can go do Animal Magnetism. Also 46 hp at the same time.

 

Up-date: After getting the mithril hatchet, i completed animal magnetism (forgot to take pic, but im wearing ava's device in the first pic of this up-date.) then went to Chaos druids as i needed some prayer pots for monkey madness which i also managed to get completed. (the Demon is a joke after eoc.)

Heres pic of me getting the xp and 50 attack, 49 defence and 48 str and hp.

 

 

With only about 900xp till 50 def i went to ogres, to train a little. also a pic of me in mostly rune.

 

 

Currently training Hunter to 50 as i need blue d'hide chaps from eclectic implings. also need to be at least 37 hunter for prickly Kibbits as the hunter cbow and bolts are equal to rune in the eoc.
