6th Chaotic

I once again have 200k Dg tokens, and I'm not sure what to get this time (preferably not xp).

 

I already have the following:

 

Rapier (pre-EoC purchase)

Maul

Dual CCBs

Farseer kiteshield (fashionscape)

 

I'm currently debating between a CLS, to go with the fks, a mainhand claw to replace my vine whip for use with eee when I cba to slay with abilities, or a staff, to upgrade from my ABS.

 

Which should should I get?

 

Also, are the other shields useful for combat?

 

Different question, only attaching to his topic since it also affects my decision: Is the eee still better than an offhand chaotic? Last time I checked was before the scaling rebalance, and then it had less accuracy but higher damage/tick when used with a fastest speed mainhand weapon.

I think EEK can be quite useful. Have you thought about this? I can't comment on whether or not it's better than an off-and. However where a shield is needed, it's makes for a good choice.

 

Perhaps someone can shed some further light here.

Yeah, the shields are usually solid options if you need a shield and cannot afford the price and prayer drain on Spirit shields (unsure if the dg shields' higher armour and lp is better than spirit shields' 25% damage reduction, but it certainly is a much cheaper alternative.)

 

Personally, I'd recommend the staff because the additional accuracy is always great (though I might be a bit biased, since the only thing I regularly use magic for is Glacors, and it might not be needed for other monsters.)

 

Otherwise, you might not want to spend your tokens on fashionscaping tools before getting the essentials, though I guess you can gather 200k tokens at a reasonable rate at your level.

Spirit shields are 30% damage reduction, not 25%. Moving on...

 

I'd get the staff, because it's actually the best at something, that being dps versus high def (assuming vwand is out of the question).

 

Of all the dg shields fsk is probably the best, because magic and ranged benefit so much from 2h weapons.

Shields/rapiers/cls's/claws/ccb's are useless and you already have a Maul.

 

Next get bonecrusher/herbicide/demon horn neck etc.

OT: Your income and wealth in-game also affect which to get. For example, since EoC, crossbows are no longer needed (due to Royal), staff is terrible (due to Virtus), and neither are any longsword or rapiers (due to Drygore).

 

A lot of my friends tank various bosses with the chaotic shields as they work damn near just as good as the spirit shields minus the annoying prayer drain.

 

Personally, I'd go for a bone crusher and demonhorn necklace (you're 92 slayer) or a shield.

Forgot to specify I was asking only about the items with a 100k+ price tag, I have practically everything else.

 

I doubt I'll get shields because I don't usually boss much, and when I do I try not to be the tank.

 

I'll probably get the staff, thanks for the advice.
