Never gotten really into it but now I am looking for a nice setup that allows me to do more ranging. I won't be camping anything specific, but rather would do quest fights, some slayer tasks, etc ranging where I would be using melee mostly before. I have about 40M to spend so I no nex gear for me. Hence the question: what setup would be good: arma plate and chainskirt still good? What crossbow; dragon 2h, dragon xbow? What ammo? I have only 80 dung so also no chaotics for me at the moment. jayc3399 Posted March 5, 2013 Share Posted March 5, 2013 Get a royal cross bow, they are dirty cheap right now and are the best xbow in the game. Use Royal bolts with either a royal or chaotics if you get them. Karils is also an alternative but no point if you can make a royal, all other cross bows are garbage. Crystal bows are also decent to use and fairly cheap. Arma is fine, if your doing non slayer combat you'd probably be okay with void instead, obviously for slayer use slayer helm. I'd suggest ranging something fairly profitable as well, for example the guardian automatons unlocked after TWW. Unload might be nice as well, with the AoE effect and everything, if you can stack enemies tight enough.
