March 5, 201313 yr So I've stopped playing after the Clan Citidel update. I've come back to find, completely reworked combat system, more pricey membership costs and a new barrows brother (and about 50 pages worth of new game updates on the runescape website). I'm just really looking for a brief overview of the biggest changes, to be reasonable. For example: I understand that the protection prayers work differently now? Something like that could really screw me over. Any insight anyone could provide would be useful. More speifically:Does food work differently now?Have G/E buy/sell limits changed? Is the whip still a good general purpose weapon? Or can you recommond weapons/armour? I think my cb stats are 75-80Have the "strength bonus" properties of armour and weapons been removed?Good ways to make money other than killing bosses?Any useful quests I should do? (to provide access to certain transport, or that give useful items, for example) That's all for now. (You don't have to answer everything!) Thanks. [260+ Quest Points] [All Skills 50+] [Lv 97 Combat]
March 5, 201313 yr Food works the same, HP is different. Get Chaotics, probably Maul. G.E limits have not changed. Whip is bad. Armor has changed due to the EOC and Abilities, the focus is now more on crit than strength. Money making... changes so often. I'm not the person to ask. ^^ Quests... assuming you have 260 (according to sig), there's not that many til you've done them all. I'm not sure exactly which quests from the last ~year and a half are useful. Open the questtablol and check the rewards. Hope I've helped, if not I'm sure somewhat else can shed more light here :) ~ Grainy's Blog ~
March 5, 201313 yr Food works the sameNot quite right. If you don't have the same Constitution level as the Cooking level required to cook a food item, then this food item will heal you for less than the best food item you can eat (according to your Constitution level.)
March 5, 201313 yr The World Wakes is a good quest to do. The max hit formula got changed a lot. Now it is simply adding weapon damage and strength level (potions & prayers add visible and invisible levels which do all sorts of stupid stuff, but it's still addition everywhere). That means that even with the best potions and prayers, probably 70%+ of your damage comes from your weapon and your weapon alone. There are some armour pieces with slight damage boosts (most notably Nex equipment) and there is void. Food works the same but eating drains adrenaline which can be annoying and reduce dps (depending on whether you use tresholds & ultimates often). March 6, 201313 yr Food shouldn't be 100% avoided anymore, though. You can eat it without losing attack turns and the adrenaline costs aren't that high. Still, I wouldn't recommend using it unless you have to.
