Aviansies set up

Apologies if what follows is considered to be stupid questions, but any help is appreciated.

 

Am currently working on Aviansies for the combined money and range/def experience and can see myself doing so for the next few weeks. With this in mind I am keen to try and improve the quality of my gear to speed up the process, so that I can earn money for other things later on. I have little cash in hand so would be earning as I go and as a result the most expensive items are far beyond me.

 

Current gear:

 

Helm: Armadyl

Necklace: Unholy symbol

Body: Saradomin body

Legs: Royal d'hide chaps

Hands: Royal d'hide vambs

Ring: Archer

Shield: Dragonfire

Back: Accumulator

Crossbow: Rune

Bolts: Broad-tipped

 

Stats:

Range: 76

Defense: 90

 

Am using rejuvinate for now as it suits me well, but may change in future.

 

Basically what should I look to improve first? Crossbow? And if so is Karils Pistol/Armadyl a good choice? Legs for Armadyl chainskirt? Something else? Any input is really useful

try upgrading your weapon to at least crystal bow/black salamander/handcannon, this will really speed up your kills, rune cbow is very low tier to fight aviansies with.

 

you can always bring a shield in your inventory if you want to keep using rejuvinate.

 

lose the sara body and use at least royal d-hide, if you fight aviansies inside armadyl's stronghold, you only need an armadyl and zamorak item.

 

if you have the money, upgrade to armadyl chest and skirt.

 

most important: upgrade your weapon, you are currently using a tier 50 weapon while tier 70/75 weapons are really not that expensive or hard to get

Cheers for advice. Sadly due to awful out of combat stats and questing I can't do either crystal or hand cannon for some time - something I can look to sort out though.

You should in principle never train on anything with a shield, and you should never go with a tier 50 weapon. Hand cannon would be good, royal crossbow at 80 ranged is good too, you can use a black salamader (not sure if this still requires atk/mage levels), Karil's crossbow even (requires no quests, but expensive).

Ok well I've literally just done roving elves so I can now use the crystal bow - that'd be ok for now I m guessing? ( I had to do 5 quests today :| to get that)

 

If so then what I m probably looking to do is add armadyl chainskirt to start with and then I'm really not sure?

try getting fury, its cheaper than the skirt and will speed up your kills.

dunno if you have barrow gloves but they will prove to be very useful and only 100k(need to finish recipe for disaster though)

also try getting some nice boots,bandos are nice and not so expensive.

bring a bunyp + get bones to peaches?

try to upgrade the acumulator to get more critical rate

take into acc,the money you will need to repair the crystal,once you use it a lot it will be a lvl 70 bow wich only costs 180k so its very good.Also, if you bring the crystal make sure to bring a zamorak arrow equipped,that will count as your zamorakian item and you can use royal armour or armadyl,what suits you best.

Saradomin's Murmur is cheaper and better range crit, get that instead of a fury.

 

No familiar is going to help a ton so use a bunyip, between that and rejuvenate/guthix butterfly you should be more than fine for healing.

 

Upgrade to karils until you can afford armadyl.

The bow charges will not be independent of each other, every recharge you do lowers the cost of your next recharge. You should get to 80 range fairly quickly at which point you should immediately go get a royal crossbow anyways so don't worry about that. You should also look into getting the highest level ava's device that you can for your cape slot.

nope, the price falls for your character, not per bow. Armadyl gloves would be a pretty good/cheap upgrade too.

Thanks both - might be missing a trick here but why dont people just buy seeds, go and get them fixed up for 180k (or whatever) and sell them on? I mostly ask because I'm sure I m missing something with how it works!

My recommended gear setup for aviansies

 

Head:arma

Body:arma/royal

Legs:arma/royal

Boots&gloves:gano

Ring:ring of devotion cheap and any other ring isn't really needed(IMO)

Neck:fury works fine for me

Cape:zammy cape/skill cape if you really wanna use cbow

Weapon:black Sally until you can use royal xbow

 

Inventory:1 super ranging potion(4) dose per bunyip pouch and 1 dose of summoning/super restore per bunyip pouch. Climbing boots if you don't have trollheim teleport. I can always last til I'm out of pouches with this setup. And it's not very expensive/within your reach.

 

For your action bar I recommend 3 basics and 2 thresholds(rapid fire and the one that shoots 2 consecutive shots which I forget the name of!)

 

Don't bother using ultimates IMO.

I use zammy cape for god protection because I need my arrow slot free.

Yes, the top tier Ava device (Alerter) has the best range crit bonus (bar comp/max cape).
