Mylez
I've sold my Drgores to fund some skills, and will be getting EEE later today. I have Chaotic Rapiers (dual) but I keep reading that Chaotic Claw is better. Is this true? MH Claw with EEE is the best option for Slayer and such? Quyneax
Claw has the crit bonus, it's also cheaper to buy and starts at 100% charge. So yes, it is better, but you can use rapier very well of course. Mylez
I've got some spare tokens, so I might try it. Thanks for the advice! Quick question for if you check back - After Royal CBow (which I have) is there a close alternative, preferably non-degrading? Is Armadyl CBow good? What about Dragon 2H CBow? And what bolts would these be best used with? I have 99 Ranged, but I'm going to need to Range a lot for Slayer.
Quyneax
Nope, nope, anything but royal, zaryte, dual ccbow sucks. The next best is either black salamander, Karil's or dual Armadyl/pistol crossbows, but those are t70, not t80. For slayer, you can just use melee, probably more worth it if you don't value ranged xp. Mylez
Hmm, that could work. Least then I can finishing maxing combat with 99 Attack. On another point, since EOC Stab/Slash/Crash seems to be more important now - should I still stick to Claw/EEE - or should I swap out to match the enemies weakness? Quyneax
Off-hand doesn't matter for accuracy at all. Switching main hand is optional, I don't know whether range/mage weak monsters have melee preferences but I don't think they do. For melee weak monsters, you can use rapier for stab I guess. There is no 1h t80 crush. Th e Doctor
Hmm, that could work. Least then I can finishing maxing combat with 99 Attack. On another point, since EOC Stab/Slash/Crash seems to be more important now - should I still stick to Claw/EEE - or should I swap out to match the enemies weakness? For most slayer monsters (read mith dragons, polypore creatures) t80 weapons are good enough to tear through them regardless of stab/slash/crush. I wouldn't put too much stock into it. With drygores you can ignore weakness outside of polypore completely. OFC you must still range aviansies but you should be skipping those anyways. Mylez
Yeah, I skip Aviansies, thanks for the advise guys. :-)
Levells
Just to mention, there's also the hand cannon (75). Doesn't degrade, but it might blow up. Still, cheap enough if you're still looking for something nondegradable for range.
