I can't believe that guy asked you if you've heard of runehq. Isn't that a fan site? If so, then it's against the rules to talk about it in the game. "Jagex staff" would know that and wouldn't bring it up.

Try walking arround whit members armour in F2p world 1 and you'll get massive scam attempts.

Well, today I got my first "I'm jagex staff, you wanna be a mod?" scam attempt.

 

 

 

This person was...pathetic.

 

When I asked about his lack of a crown, he said that he was a minor Jagex staff and they didn't get them.

 

He said he had been playing for 3 years, yet he didn't have any stats in the hi scores. Even after I told him he had been reported...twice, he still insisted that he was staff and he even offered to prove it by having me temp banned.

 

 

 

Blah, I hope he gets his main account perm banned.

And there is the classic:

 

 

 

Name-you-have-never-heard-before: "Hi, remember me? I helped you once, when you had died, and gave you money." (I never have recieved money from someone, and if I had, they'd sure be on my friend's list.) "Now I need help, I just died in wildy. Stupid PK'ers!!! Omg i hate them.... Can't we meet somewhere, I really need that favour returned."

I actullay got scammed out of 30k the other day. I didn't really care though since it was only 30k. I was on a f2p world in a east varrock bank buying ess for 30 ea and someone offered me 1k ess, i offered him 30k and without me realizing he changed it to 100 ess and i accepted:P

 

Dude, absolutely dont worry about it. I been playing since the rs1 days and I fell for that a few months back. At least now you know their tricks, and how to avoid them.

 

As for the 'scam' in question here with the jagexmode, all I can say is ROFFLEMAU!

man if scammers are stupid enough to scam this bad i fell realy bad for those who fall for it.

I don't know where these people come from, or how they find me, but here is another one that happened just this morning.

 

I wasn't even going to save the conversation, but then I thought o well might as well play with this guy and see how far I can take it.

And rofl, when I was a noob, I saw someone saying "Jagex blocks your pass". Well, I wanted to find out if it was true, so I tried it. Turs out my pass is one of those things that randomly gets cencored. It was, yes was, "ralph1". No, my name is not ralph, it was ralph from the simpsons. "Oh boy, sleep, that's where I'm a viking!", lol. The "ralp" part got cencored. Try it yourself. So I actually went to a bank and said "jagex blocks your pass", not knowing that it was a scam! rofl!
