I know what happened, you were hit by the teleblock just as you tleported. It's like when you cast a spell on someone going upstairs, you don't see the damage, but they do in the next room.

Go into the room with the black dragons, you will see a "tunnel entrance" much like the ones in the KQ lair, use a rope with that and climb down.
