Combat Academy

Featured Replies

I just have a few questions:

1. Does it give combat xp during the academy?

2. The xp tomes or whatever they are - do they give only combat xp?

I just want to be able to toggle that tab to the Quest tab instead.

1. No idea, but I assume that if it does, it would be very small

2. I believe so.

Quest tab may be more useful to you now, once you complete all the quests, feel free to switch back to combat academy, since the button is a free instant teleport to a nearby bank deposit box.

The reward books can only be used on combat skills, but those also include prayer and constitution which no longer affect your combat level (since you're a skill pure ).

I don't remember if you gain combat xp going through the acadamy.

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

Only issue with prayer or constitution is that I don't want to train it & have them implement it back into our combat level again. That would really suck.

I want to say they wouldn't change it again so soon but I don't even know what they do...

Exactly, that's why I'm thinking I'll test out the combat academy on another account, and if it gives exp then I won't do it. Quick-ish & simple!

Actually, the books also can give you possible exp for slayer and Herblore despite both are indirect combat skills.

in advance, the quest tab sucks, misclick the combat academy tab and you can just click back to what you want, misclick the quest tab and full screen "Noticeboard", i wanted to get rid of that tab for ages, but the quest one is definitely worse

Not a member so neither of those are useful to me :)

I prefer the quest tab, it's easier than having to go into the notice board and then to the quest tab and then having to find the quest you're looking for. Just my personal opinion.

As a free player though, there isn't that great a many quest, and after finishing all the quests, the quest tab is practically useless thereafter.

I highly recommend switching back to the Academy button at least after you have finished all of the quests. I personally think misclicking and opening up a useless quest screen (I completed all of the quests) rather infuriating, so I kept the tab on Academy.
