Martinineo
Hey people, I'm Neovenator, I used to play runescape like it was my second nature, but eventually got bored of it.Lately I've been thinking of playing again so I logged in to my account only to find that I got hacked.'Luckily' the hackers were so nice as to leave all my untradeable/worthless stuff in there. So now I still have like a balmung, d defender, fire cape, some proselyte, like 1K extreme pot sets. A second problem is that runescape has changed soo much since I last played. So I really don't have a clue what to do or where to get some starter money to get me back on track.Any help or advice is greatly appriciated!. Thanks in advance and I hope I get to meet some nice people this way :). Dwoofie
First of, there's Dual wielding, so Dragon Defender isn't a great weapon anymore. Mainly useless. What you want is either dual weapons, meaning a weapon with its off-hand, or a 2h weapon (like balmung) All armour and weapons are in tiers, so a level 70 weapon would be better than a 60 one. You aren't ranked, so I can't check your stats. However, I suggest doing some slayer to try and get used to abilities. My ability bar for 2h weapons is as follows: Slice, Cleave, Punish, Sever, Smash, Hurricane, Assault, and then the rest are used for dungeoneering. (I'm sure someone will correct me on these abilities, but mainly, the trick is to use your first ability, Slice, then another basic ability, then Slice again, another ability, Slice until you can use assault.) For Dual wield weapons: Slice, Decimate, Punish, Sever, Havoc, Slaughter, Assault, Flurry. Same trick here, the trick is always to use your ability with the lowest cooldown, in this case slice, and then another ability, and repeat. Ultimate abilities are mostly useless or so I've heard, except a few like Berserk, Metamorphosis, Guthix's blessing (for healing) and so on. Magic and ranged is more or less equal to melee, at equal levels. Most monsters you should try using the setup they are weak against. While you are learning this, you should be getting some starter money from monsters. Once you get a bit of GP, doesn't have to be more than 200k-300k, be sure to buy 6k broad arrowheads each day from the slayer master in Taverley, and one from another location of your choosing. (Personally, I use the Canifis slayer master because he is close to a lodestone.) This will give you a free 200k a day. You can get another 100k from buying Naff's battlestaves in Varrock (If you can buy 80) and possibly another 75-150k free from managing Kingdom of Miscellania. I highly suggest checking out lodestones, and preferably unlocking most of them. Dungeoneering would also be a great choice, and get enough tokens for a Chaotic Claw, and the off-hand version. Although this will cost a little GP, but I've heard Dungeoneering is a lot faster to solo now than a year ago. Oh, and check the combat academy, you can get a lot of free experience there! Martinineo
Thanks for the reply, that sure is some useful information!! :) Here is a picture of my skills: Uploaded with ImageShack.us My Blog of getting back after 2 years and a hack, check it out and feel free to add me -->http://forum.tip.it/topic/320512-neovenators-blog-of-getting-back-in-the-game-current-goalkbd/
PolarBearBlue
Extra added tips to added to what the above has said :) Quest. Do all the quest you can that you have missed from over the years. Then do as many Daily Profits as you can. And for the time being you'll want to do a lot of dungeoneering to buy t80 weapons like the above said. You'll be looking to get dual chaotic claws, dual chaotic crossbows, and chaotic staff. You eventually replace all these with t90 weapons but they are very expensive, so you are bound to get one of the 3 above before you consider them. My suggestion is to do you Daily Profits and put it into Miscellenia while you quest. After about a week a good Miscellenia set up should produce enough for you to buy a Barrows set and with enough Dungeoneering you'd have a weapon. After that I would look into easy higher gp monsters like Automatons, Frost Dragons, KBD, and the Ascension Dungeon. Eventually you build your way to GWD and the likes and you be working towards getting GWD sets or even Nex gear. My daily profit run is something kinda large, but if you manage to do all the free items plus miscellenia + spins from quest you can gain some money towards cheap armor like Royal Dragonhide to do some combat like things. Daily Profit or dependant on the amount of quest and task you have done. Note I don't have them all complete. A: Apples/Pineapples from Brimhaven; Free B: Battlestaves from Naff/Baba; 588k C: Broad arrowhead/Unfinished Broad bolts from 2 slayer masters ; 600k D: Essence from Cromperty in Ardougne; Free E: Flax from Geoffrey; Free F: Jack of Trades; Free G: Pineapples/seaweed from Arhein (Catherby); 240gp H: Sand from Bert; Free I: Sandstone; Free J: Tokkul from Tzhaar banker; Free K: Warrior Guild Stew; 1k L: Wicked Hood; Free M: Yak-hides; 50k Monsters I suggest you kill for consistent gp/hr once you find yourself with some armor and weapons.Torment DemonsQBDFrost DragonsJadinkosWaterfiends Good luck! chenw
With regards to lodestones, it is preferable that you do not unlock the wilderness one, in case accidents happen. Every other lode is safe, and should be unlocked at your earliest convenience, the earlier the better. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Every other lode is safe, and should be unlocked at your earliest convenience, the earlier the better. You have to confirm your selection, so it's hard to teleport accidentally. It's pretty much useless, though, so it's not worth the time it takes to unlock.
Yak-scythe
Also, once you start to generate 7m or so give your hand a try at flipping. Its simple and easy and no requirements, can make like 1m every 4 hours via doing nothing. If you dont know how to flip either look up a guide or use pc 101's fc ingame or forum thread " pc 101 v5"I'll give you the rundown real quick incase you dont know - They give you margins, say Bandos helmet 5.0 - 5.4m this means you buy at 5101k and sell at 5299k and profit 100k. :)Its simple fast and really decent for the amount of effort. Hope you make it back from your hack! :) Runescape is a haven..
