  1. 30k gp/hr? Try 30k+ gp/herb run. Going off of rough figures and my own experience, I get at least 3-4 extra herbs from greenfingers every herb run. At 10k per dwarf week, that's significant, much more so than 30k/hour. Sure, Herb runs are only like 2.4m/hr now, but some people like skilling for money. From my own calculations, basing this on 5 minutes a herb run, dwarf weeds, level 90+ farming(No idea if that matters yet) with aura, it's around 3.66m Gp/hour. Excluding time spent on getting Jujus. It's less than 3m GP without an aura, and around 3m Gp/hour with regular greenfingers aura, versus 3.66m from Supreme Greenfingers. I would not call this "Marginal" however, if you were to exclude jujus, which may be inefficient or not, then yes, the increase wouldn't be this drastic. (But still not as low as 30k more gp/hour) Not to mention the slight increase in Xp/hour.
  2. I've heard people saying herb runs were great, but apparently, they aren't?
  3. Mining with warbands. Each warband would be 363864 xp/warband in different skills. Assuming you have a warband FC that knows what it's doing, it would still take 10 minutes to do all 3 camps, and 5 more to get ready. (Most warbands FCs usually expect you to show up at least 10 minutes before it starts though.) This means 15 minutes/363864 xp. 1455456 mining xp/hour. Which would be around 128.5 hours from level 99 to 200m xp. Or a minimum of 137.41 hours from 1-99, assuming everything goes perfectly, and you can magically gain the same xp at level 1 as you would at level 99. Though, this is highly unrealistic. Seeing as this means you'll never encounter PKers, who kill you, or slow you down. There is never a level 4-100 that you are unable to kill, stealing resources, and lowering the amount you get. And other things wasting time. But, even if 137.41 hours is unrealistic, 200-300 hours should be humanly possible. Of course, this also means you must do smithing too, + a 3rd skill to never waste a camp. So it'd be around 400-600 hours to get 200m smithing/mining(+ a third skill). Unlike superheat mining which would be around 1600-1700 hours (maybe as low as 1500 with near perfection) for 200m mining/smith/magic. But magic is essentially worthless, because of experience gained through other tasks. Conclusion: Warbands is still at least 3-4x faster than superheating. If I've done any errors, feel free to point them out.
  4. They are quite rare but if you use the 'node find' fc they can usually help you get ~1-5 a day depending on luck. Sometimes it'll be dead for like 5 hours then you'll get a bunch close together, other times you get a pretty steady stream of 1 every 30 mins or so, but it is doable using them. I've been using it to see if I can get enough extra renown to allow me to end on Arma Dragon token; just short of gold atm cause I took a few days off. Is there something better than the Node Find FC?
  5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zdTSkgzelDY According to this video, doing both C2 fishing and C2 woodcutting is around 84k fishing xp + 120k woodcutting xp per hour.
  6. I wonder if they thought about people with full banks. Would be quite sad if someone got a drop, and it disappears from existence. I also wonder what drops are "sharded"? guess a quick search on G.E should show this? Oh and a new loading screen! Quite lovely too ^^
  7. Tried the chaos giants, their drops seem improved, but nothing spectacular.
  8. It must be a recent update, because Ibis does indeed work inside Pyramid Plunder. I'm in while writing this message. Although, it seems to only work for the traps/doors. Does not work for urns (At least not the urns in the last room.)
  9. There is a lot of instant XP, and other factors to ascertain when it comes to prestige. To be honest, even if players want this, the amount of game-breaking bugs that might come from this is definitely not worth it to please a few players. Instant XP to fix, warbands should be made bonus XP instead of the current way it is etc. For my own sake, I hope Jagex realize there's so much to take account for that they might just scrap it purely for technical reasons.
  10. This is one of the arguments I dislike the most, simply because it is the "u mad bro" of content update arguments.
  11. This sounds completely terrible. But I'm sure they'll add it anyway. A game like RuneScape, where some skills take 50+ hours to reach 99 (or longer) it's like they are trying to make top players compete until their bodies are rotting. Not to mention buyable skills like construction, smithing, crafting etc. Will not be a competition on who can train it the most, but who has the most GP to get +5 or +50 prestige in that skill. It will also just be needlessly confusing on the hiscores. Most likely, it'll raise the cost of construction, crafting, and all the buyable skills because people with 200B are looking to level the skills to 99 around 99 times. Honestly, I hope this gets shot down quickly and they realize the much less painful and confusing thing is to just raise all skill's maximum XP to 1B or so.
  12. The charges for bonus experience are only 1 charge for 1 ore. Meaning it isn't that great, unless you're planning to AFK lava-flow mine (Seeing as the Imcando pickaxe will have a faster mining rate there than before, and also the bonus experience that you can easily recharge while you are there.) The smithing experience you gain isn't that astonishing while doing Living Rock Caverns, from a short 1 hour test the smithing experience seems to be around 4-6% of the mining experience you are gaining. (This is assuming you are using urns to mine, without Jujus which also gives extra smithing, or superheating.) So from around 85-99 mining, at LRC, you'd get 400-600k smithing exp, which would be barely 8-10m saved + some time. You'd also end up smelting Runite Ores that you are mining, whether you want it to or not. So I'd say no, it's not worth it at all. Or at least not for what you will be using it for.
  13. It depends on what you want to fight, although for amulets, there are Saradomin's Whisper for melee, Saradomin's Murmur for ranged, and Arcane Amulet from dungeoneering for magic. Gloves, are all essentially just defence now. I believe only your top, bottom, shield, and weapon slot decides your accuracy. So if you are going to use magic, use a magical top/bottom/weapon (and shield unless dual wielding/two handing, which is preferable over the shield) and you can use your helmet/glove/boot spot for extra defence against whatever you are weak against for mobs that hit with 2-3 styles. (Of course, if fighting against a monster's weakness, just use a full set of the style you are attacking with.) Though, there are still gloves/boots etc. Providing more defence than others. Tokkul-zo is the best ring, for defensive purposes, 6th age circuit is a free ring that has nice crit bonus for all 3 styles of combat, and archer ring (i), seer's ring (i) and warrior ring (i) have the best crit bonus for their respective combat styles. For gloves, there are automaton gloves. Pneumatic, tracking, and static (melee, ranged and magic respectively) for defensive purposes. I realize there are gloves that offer offensive bonuses, albeit small: Nex ones. Virtus gloves for magic, Torva for melee, Pernix for ranged. Boots with defence are the ones from Glacors named Steadfast boots, glaiven boots, and ragefire boots. Offensive boots are Virtus/Torva/Pernix. For capes, you have completionist cape that rules them all, Tokhaar-kal for melee (still worse than completionist I believe) A god cape from mage arena for magic, and Ava's Alerter for ranged. Armour is usually either Torva/Virtus/Pernix for offence, and Tetsu/Sea Singer/Death Lotus for defence. But defensive armours are mostly not of any use, and if you buy them in G.E, it'll be versions of them that degrade into nothingness, and isn't really worth it. If you want the defensive armours (Tetsu, Sea Singer, and Death Lotus) I suggest you check out Player owned Ports in Port Sarim. Might take several months before you get 1 full set though.
  14. Apparently, the nodes give more experience. A lot more. Fishing seems to give around 208 xp per bundle of shards, might scale with level. And depend on how many shards you get in one go? Would be around 60k exp a day in 1 skill, not to mention the xp lamps. I wonder if we'll see a rise in how many points people are getting? Still need to see if experience gained has anything to do with the shard multiplier or not. Fishing outfit stacks with the experience gained from tears. (Meaning Lumberjack and Gold mining suit should work too for their respective skills.)
  15. First of, there's Dual wielding, so Dragon Defender isn't a great weapon anymore. Mainly useless. What you want is either dual weapons, meaning a weapon with its off-hand, or a 2h weapon (like balmung) All armour and weapons are in tiers, so a level 70 weapon would be better than a 60 one. You aren't ranked, so I can't check your stats. However, I suggest doing some slayer to try and get used to abilities. My ability bar for 2h weapons is as follows: Slice, Cleave, Punish, Sever, Smash, Hurricane, Assault, and then the rest are used for dungeoneering. (I'm sure someone will correct me on these abilities, but mainly, the trick is to use your first ability, Slice, then another basic ability, then Slice again, another ability, Slice until you can use assault.) For Dual wield weapons: Slice, Decimate, Punish, Sever, Havoc, Slaughter, Assault, Flurry. Same trick here, the trick is always to use your ability with the lowest cooldown, in this case slice, and then another ability, and repeat. Ultimate abilities are mostly useless or so I've heard, except a few like Berserk, Metamorphosis, Guthix's blessing (for healing) and so on. Magic and ranged is more or less equal to melee, at equal levels. Most monsters you should try using the setup they are weak against. While you are learning this, you should be getting some starter money from monsters. Once you get a bit of GP, doesn't have to be more than 200k-300k, be sure to buy 6k broad arrowheads each day from the slayer master in Taverley, and one from another location of your choosing. (Personally, I use the Canifis slayer master because he is close to a lodestone.) This will give you a free 200k a day. You can get another 100k from buying Naff's battlestaves in Varrock (If you can buy 80) and possibly another 75-150k free from managing Kingdom of Miscellania. I highly suggest checking out lodestones, and preferably unlocking most of them. Dungeoneering would also be a great choice, and get enough tokens for a Chaotic Claw, and the off-hand version. Although this will cost a little GP, but I've heard Dungeoneering is a lot faster to solo now than a year ago. Oh, and check the combat academy, you can get a lot of free experience there!
  16. [spoiler=Image snip] Perhaps I should've waited and made both of these in 1 post, but it seems boots love me today! (Note, the steadfast boots you see in picture number 2, are from the previous set of steadfast boots from picture 1.) So, yeah. Remember this? [spoiler=Image] All 4 boot drops were within 200 kills or so of eachother, although there was almost a month's time between them. Are boots really that common?
  17. Ah, well, than it makes ranged fairly useless it seems. I'll definitely stick with melee, and perhaps try to get a staff switching. Thank you for your input!
  18. So, just to be clear: 2h melee > dw melee > dw magic > 2h magic > dw ranged > 2h ranged Because I was simply wondering for quite a few reasons: The ring boost for ranged gives a 20% damage boost. The ring boost for melee gives 20% accuracy, and magic... not entirely sure. Most of the time running through a dungeon, you'll be hit by magic/ranged. Using a ranged style would help you avoid getting bound by magicians more so than melee/magic. Ranged also seems to have a basic ability which hits multiple targets, and a threshold for it. But alright, I'll see if I can't get a blood necklace somewhere along the line for my primal maul.
  19. Melee, ranged, or magic? Are they all equal, or would 1 be preferred?
  20. Perhaps I should've waited and made both of these in 1 post, but it seems boots love me today! (Note, the steadfast boots you see in picture number 2, are from the previous set of steadfast boots from picture 1.)
  21. I'm pretty happy about getting these drops 21 kills from eachother!
  22. I was wondering about some quick/efficient ways of training ranged? Fastest way possible, best moneymaker etc. For instance, should I do automatons with ranged, even if it's off-task?

    Meleescape

Try to consider that this post is 3 months old. Magic, at the time, might not have been as strong as it is now.
  24. What are the main high level moneymakers these days? Would you say around 80 glacors/hour is a nice amount of kills/hour? I do not have drygores, or nex armour, so keep that in mind too.
  25. Thanks a lot! Very much appreciated ^^
