I really don't like the eyes, and you should probably try to think about how the light reflects off the seperate armour plates, rather than doing the shading for the armour all the same. This will give it more shape I'm guessing.

I could change the eyes but thats just the way I want this one. Im still practicing but in my next sig i'll try using shading to bring out the shape in the armour.

I dont know where you guys have seen something like this, if maybe you could show me what your talking about? Anyways its not ripped or anything thats a fact, I got a ton of WIP files to back that statement up.

Yea I looked at it, it is similar but nothing to the extent of ripping. Thanks for telling me who they thought it was though PL cause I was kinda confused.

The backround is ruined by the char. Im sorry but you need to recolor those eyes... actually no just take them out please. Hes chubby and has no neck, has no nose, and hes standing kind of slanted like hes leaning on something.

Axeraider you are right about the character taking away from the bg. I might also consider adding a nose but I think your slanted and no neck advice is just a little too harsh. I can see a neck there, maybe the problem is it faces right into the head and you cant see where it ends.

Ahem, i should have been more specific. He has no CHIN. Its so lightly shaded that i cant tell the difference and looks like a big thing of skin.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and he IS slanted. His arm is turned to his right while his legs and torso are station, whats he looking at? I dont think hes pointing at aything or saying "Voila i killed it". good for considering adding a nose though.
