When barraging that matters.. 20 sec active / 60 sec cooldown = 25% less runes used, and that's ignoring the damage boost even. Using a staff and using 3.6 second intervals on a staff (6 ticks) it saves the runes for 25% of casts.For 2h that is 500 blood runes saved, for dual wield . Using a wand (2.4 sec, 1500 casts an hour) and book (2.4sec, 1500 casts an hour) that means 3000 casts an hour for 6000 blood runes used, of which 1500 blood runes are saved.
