New Range Gear

I need to range either way as it is my only non 99 combat, so what ascension bro is good to range for exp, and to get the new gear? And any tips/advice on gear/tactics to wear, I have the POP range gear, and money to spend on new gear if need be and i have chaotics.

You know the "new range gear" is not out yet, right?

For mass killing the Rorarii at the entrance are best. Bring full armadyl/pernix, dual CCBs, ppots and ext range/ovls. If you have a superior ranged crit scrimshaw already, you could bring that too. Pray soulsplit and anguish, camp until bored/out of pots.

 

Alternatively you could try buying keystones and killing legios, though you would have to get the signets for an ascension cbow to pay for the keys. Gear would be the same, but you should bring 3-5 pieces of emergency food. Tactics would be running in a circle a few squares away from the legio, stopping to use an ability every 3-4 game ticks.

 

As Ping said, Sirenic scales haven't been added to drop tables yet, so killing them before that update goes live would not get you any scales, though you would still get xp. After the update, finding a free world will be hard.

just want to be ready for it, I need the range exp anyway, so it would be good to make it profitable from it...

The only thing you can really do now is probably horde the keystones until the release, then do the Legios.

 

Also in order to profit from the Legios, you really need to finish the Asc crossbow, or else it'll be wasted money (unless you sell the keystones, but it would be counterproductive). The Signets are untradeable on their own.

I wonder if Sirenic armour will be tradeable.

Because if it is, then that's another source of profit from the ascension bosses.

I imagine Sirenic will be like Tectonic in every aspect, so it will be tradable unless degraded.
