You need to toggle on momentum before you go in, that is likely causing your issues, and ontop of that you know not to use abilities once you've done that right?

A boost, an increase, an improvement. In the case of ranging, that's Anguish and extreme ranging potion or overload, as well as Momentum.

Risk of dying is so small that there is no reason to not use all available best gear that you have. 

 

Follow the guide I posted earlier to the letter, if that doesn't work then you are beyond my help. Otherwise try frosts, or even armadyl solo. There's guides for those on youtube as well.

There are a lot of abyss pkers, so he should be cautious when doing the abyss. There's nothing to worry about at dags though.

gear isn't the big thing really, as long as u can do some dmg, and have plenty of red chins, also for pker's I been using abyss for awhile.. and never seen a pker pop up,  and u turn on momentum b4 u go into wildy and find a good spot and kick back and watch the xp fly :P

I activated momentum and tried again, but it still doesnt seem anywhere near 350K exp per hour.  Maybe half of that, MAYBE....  I am using red chins, offhand rune cbow, archer ring, fury, archer helm, royal bolts,  and I can use either elite void or superior death lotus for chest and legs, I also can use scrims, if needed,

might be that chins don't do enough dmg to get that max xp, with mage I get 150-200k xp but never really tried with chins tho =\

Are you using the correct spot?

 

Are you letting the monsters become unaggressive?

 

Getting half the xp/hour is a clear indication that you're doing something wrong. Using a scrimshaw or void won't fix it.

after 10 minutes I run away and run back so that should keep them aggressive, I did the momentum thing before going into the abyss, and I am using the south east spot the west one was taken each time....  Anything else I could be doing wrong?  I am not suing offhand chaotic cbow because I dont have enough tokens for it yet, but I dont see that tripling my exp per hour.

Royal bolts with a offhand rune crossbow? Rune can only fire up to rune bolts, which means you aren't dealing any damage with your crossbow unless there was an update to this that I missed but I checked rs wiki and it still says that the cap applies. You should at least be using a t7 oh weapon, Karils oh is only ~800 k, Armadyl is ~7 mil. You're obviously going to be getting bad exp when you're using a t5 weapon and ammo that it can't fire.

 

I would guess between that and not using the ideal spot because it was taken each time is the biggest part of your problem. 

 

I suggest if this is too difficult to get just go kill waterfiends. They're still good exp/hr and decent cash as of late due to the spike in water orb prices.

I been using abyss for a long time and never had problems, mayb ur friends were in a more populated world,

Good question

 

I recommend using a karil's crossbow and see what happens. That should get you another ~30k xp per hour. Using the right spot might get you the rest of the way there.

Easy.

They made it so any weapon can use any ammo.

The damage will be capped according to your weapon's level, however.

I'm not sure if it would half it, but it's the wrong spot for a reason.

I would agree that you're probably using the wrong spot. There's probably less spawns around for you to kill.

If you're worried about losing gear on the way in you should have a friend scout for you.
