why am I only getting 180 exp  X2 for bonus  exp for a total of 360 per bons for using a frost bone on my home altar, which is lit with 2 marrentil?  Why am I not getting the guilded altar boost of 350%??

altar bonus is deactivated for bonus xp.

As with all bonus xp events altar (and ectofunctus) as disabled leaving you with only burying xp being doubled.

This is worse than the usual xp rates and is why you should never ever do prayer on a bonus xp event.

 

Its also why bones tend to crash whilst every other supply imaginable rises prior to the event.

weird cause frost bones have had a big increase in the last few weeks, so I figured it wasnt deactivated.....

Pray is bad if u do on bxp just them on altar when bxp is off

Certainly there was a spike around february 1st but by feb 4th it had dropped back down and again and continued to a price lower than before the spike in the 2 weeks running up to the weekend.

Magic notepaper becoming tradeable had a big effect on the downward price. No idea about why it rose, though.

I know a fair number of people who didn't know that altars would be deactivated (largely mostly mid level casual players), so that could account for some of it, at least.

It rose because people thought it would work on altars, then a couple days later they confirmed it wouldn't.

Thats exactly wat happened :)
