Noxx
2 Part Question: I'm closing in on 50m Mage exp, and my goal is to get 100m. I'm doing this at Glacors, and i thought to keep myself from "burning out" i'll switch it up between Mage and Ranged every 10m Exp or so. Problem is, i have no clue where to get Ranged exp. I would prefer if i could get it at some sort of boss or miniboss. Something that offers ~200k exp/h+ with chance of high profit (or at least around 2m/h). I haven't been to Frost Dragons since EoC, so i don't know if those are even a good option. I know Ascension Dungeon might be a decent option, but again, i am not sure.I've got Death Lotus, Pernix Boots and Gloves and i plan on getting Archer (i) for the extra bit of Crit. I'm limited to Chaotic Crossbows, Royal Crossbow and Death Lotus Darts. Since i only have about 200 of each, i would prefer not to do something involving momentum (in fact, i would prefer fully manual). My knowledge on Ports is extremely limited. Thus far i've just been sending out voyages blindly, not really bothering about the result as i already have all the armours unlocked and crafted. Assuming Death Lotus darts would be my best option for training, what would i need to do to maximize Ancient Bones voyages. Thanks in advance. jayc3399
If you have the capital doing ascb can be alright but you may need to do a few to profit. The alternative is to train on the roarii or other lesser minions and use the keys you get/ sell extras and then make bows. If you get lucky the bows can be fantastic profit. xpx
Somehow noone has mentioned airut. You will need ascensions for them(or atleast main hand plus dart), but they can get to as high as 450k ranged xp an hour plus 2m an hour(more if you bank bones but LOL) from drops. I haven't tested death-lotus darts there but i'm guessing they won't be sufficient. Don't forget to bring a steel titan. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. I was safespotting melee-position ones, but I'm sure that dramatically decreases XP/HR, and it also made Steel Titan difficult to use at times. Picking up the bones is the issue. 450k an hour is achieved by only picking up around 1/6th of the drops and being very fast. With alching drops and banking bones that can get to as low as 250k an hour. You also have to consider that magic notepaper is 2-3k each in itself, not free as some people might like to think. Another tip is to use knock-out aura(and obviously, as you said, only attacking those currently weak to your style). I also prefer bonecrusher+demon horn+100% soul split for the simplicity. Overall, it's a question of whether you want 450k xp and 2m gp or 350k xp and 3.5m gp an hour. First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.First to 3766 Port Score on 20. Noxx
Well if i stick to Glacors for another 10m Exp or so, i should be able to afford a MH Asc Bow for now. I'm about 100m Buying one right now. Making 100m in 10m exp might be a bit hopeful but i do some herb runs now and then which bring in a bit of extra income.Assuming i decide to go with Airut, what should i be picking up, and what should i not bother with? I assume Rune Drops are picked up along with any Scales and Gloves, then leave the rest?
xpx
Dwarf weeds, lantadymes, (blood runes), addy bars, rune bars and magic logs should be the ones that make for significant profit(and stack). Don't pick up rune spears if you aren't alching. Which, i don't think you should be. This would make for around an hour long trips. First to 99 Farming on 27. vmser
At airuts, I bring notepaper for rune platebody/platelegs/spears drops, given they are fairly common and I like those piles in my bank. Also pick up blood runes/death runes/rune bars/adam bar/magic logs (always), noted herb drops I pick up if my inv spaces allows me to do so.
