Some back ground first. I don't get much time to play RS with a full time job and a gf On a good day I can maybe play for an hour and a half max. This weekend and the next week I have no commitments and gf is out of town so I intend to no-life some levels.

 

Most of the time I am doing Slayer or go Boss Hunting (Bandos/KBD/Zammy/Mole) if any of my friends are online. And without curses (mainly soul-split) and super anti fires and extremes, I pretty much don't manage good hits or am slow in general. 

 

Over the past decade that I've been playing, I have managed to accumulate some wealth. I feel its high time to spend it, I kind of realised keeping a cash pile is pretty much useless; and the obvious choice for me is to go for either 92 Prayer or 92 Herby for the above mentioned reqs/abilities

 

I have around 100 Mill to spend. What do you guys suggest would be better. Soul Split or Extremes and Super Antifire? DO keep in mind that i pretty much do Slayer or Bosses.

tldr: Spending 100 mill. either on prayer for soul split or herby for extremes/superantifire. mainly do PvM or Slayer.

Hmmm I can say for sure which is better but I think getting the exts would be more beneficial than the prayer due to the increase damage.  

I would go with Prayer if picking just one. But with the 2hr of double XP aura out right now you should be able to cut your cost by close to half even with pricing being high right now because of it. And you may have enough to get both to the levels you want (I would do the math for you if I had time right now). I would start with prayer and get that to 92 and then go for Herb as high as you can get it with the money you want to spend. Since you only have one weekend you will only get one 2 hour block of double XP, but this will still help greatly. Just be sure to use the quickest method you can afford while it is active and use the quick inventory switches to ensure you spend as little time banking as possible.

 

For Prayer training I find it faster to use my own house than someone else's or even invite people to my house (anti-social what can I say). Also make sure you use the best beast of burden you have to keep the training as fast as possible.

 

I don't have any tips for Herb specially, but I just got 99 last weekend and quick inventories are amazing, that's about all I can say. :-)

I did the quick math on Prayer training and if my math is right it would be close to 50mil to get 92 Prayer. So that is only half of your total and the other half can go towards getting you started on the road to a nice high herblore level.

99 Herblore is free via Warbands.

Extremes won't allow you to live off Prayer potions.

Yes.  Remember that 2x xp via Enlightenment aura stacks; first age equipment, corruption/harmony/salvation also.

Yes. My calculation was with a guilded with both burners. I didn't calculate any extra bonus from outfits or aura. So if you have them it will save you even more money.

I spent some extra cash, around 124M and bought Airut Bones for fast exp, Real Life time is more important :/

 

I'm happy to see you were able to get 92 Prayer. It is an amazing thing. I'm surprised even with Airut bones it was so much. Did you use the Enlightenment Aura for two hours of double XP?

Unfortunately I couldn't use the Enlightenment aura. I used it to to raise construction to 71 for Gilded altar (using boosts from thereon).

 

I have around 80M cash left though. Don't feel like grinding anymore, will make the cash for Herby next now :) All through PvM, it'll be a good challenge and should keep me occupied for another 6 months lol.

Remember that you don't need to spend any money on herblore. Warbands exists, free ~200k exp at your level every day. Then you can save your money for actually making the extreme potions instead of using it all up trying to get to the level to make the extremes.

They really need to do something about Warbands only being every 8 hours. It seems like every time I'm on it just finished and the next run is at 1am or something.... :wacko:

Hmm, I've set a goal of gwd, 1k Bandos, 1k Arma and 1k Zammy bosses each. :)

 

I know it sounds crazy, ha ha but I am good at this, its like a one year goal or something :) 

It should be pretty easy now with Soul Split especially Bandos. You can just camp, camp, camp. Good Luck to you!
