June 27, 201412 yr Assuming I have all 3 lvl 90 mainhands, which style is 'best' for each boss? Obviously you can't melee Arma and range sucks for Bandos...Pretty sure I've heard Stev swear by maging almost everywhere, is this the general consensus? And if so, is this only viable b/c of conblast or other reasons?
June 27, 201412 yr I want to know this too actually. You're essentially asking which is the highest raw dps assuming 100% accuracy, which I'd like to know. It once was magic by a long shot, but after the buff to snapshot and the green hentai tentacles being better than the blue one, I don't know anymore. Also fragmentation shot is incredibly OP
June 27, 201412 yr Let's run through each boss: Sara: Mage is definitely the best here. 10% damage increase from vulnerability combined with the high melee defence and reasonable mage defence of mage armour combined with the fact that you don't take double damage from zerk means an increase in campability. Zilyana will always make her way into melee distance, allowing you to use dragon breath for a massive damage basic. Bandos: Bandos has far lower health, 40k rather than 75k, so it reduces the effectiveness of damage-over-time ultimates like sunshine and zerk. I haven't done much bandos myself, but I think that slaughter+walk, assault, and destroy, would be enough to kill him. Vulnerability only is an effective 4k hit instead of a 7.5k one like at sara/arma. If you can't be bothered to walk slaughters, use mage. Arma: Having tried range and mage extensively at armadyl, I would say mage is better dps, but range is much better for survivability. I wear nex gear at godwars (I prefer not wasting t90 on it), so I ordinarily range at armadyl now. In t90 gear, I think your defence is high enough to make mage the better option. I haven't done enough zammy to discuss it. best drops (reasonably accurate/up to date): 1x Elysian Sigil (LS), 1x Arcane Sigil (cs), 4x Armadyl Hilt (solo at 100m, 100m, 50m, and 5m), 2x Saradomin Hilt (solo at 25m), 5x Draconic Visage (34m,1.2m,1.2m) and various cs/ls/ffa Nex splits. June 27, 201412 yr Pretty much what Yuj said, though Mage/Melee are about equal at Zammy, with the main survivability coming off you using debilitate just before his prayer drain attack, which is pretty much luck based. ^^My blog of EoC PvM, lols and Therapy.^^My livestream- Currently: Offline :(Offical Harpy Therapist of the Mad[hide=Lewtations]Barrows drops: Dharok's helm x2, Guthan's helm, Ahrim's top, Hood and skirt, Torag's hammers, Karils skirt, Karil's top, Torag's helm, Verac's skirt, Verac's Flail, Dharok's Platebody.Dag kings drops: Lost count! :wall:4k+ Glacors, 7 Ragefires, 4 Steadfasts, 4 Glaivens, 400+ shards![/hide]
June 28, 201412 yr For zammy, the contender for that would be mage. He is both weak to mage, forces md on you, and attacks with melee mostly with some magic. Runescape player since 2005 Ego Sum Deus Quo Malum Caligo et Barathum
