How are "elite clue scrolls" supposed to be a higher diffuculity than "hard clue scrolls"?

last i checked the dyes were 400-950m each 3rd age druidic also was 500-850m each if that isnt worth the attempt to do elite scrolls i dont know what to tell ya except maybe try easy clues then

I don't mind doing them, in fact I do find it fun. But my point is they aren't more difficult than hard clues in my opinion.

Also I'm referring to the common rewards, not the rare exclusive ones.

That is true, the dyes are valuable. The G.E. prices can be inaccurate, but they are still roughly in that ballpark. The thing is, it's sort of like filling out surveys with free lottery tickets as a reward. Expecting one of those dyes as an eventual reward is kind of a fruitless endeavor.

My blog here if you want to check out my Times articles and other writings! I always appreciate comments/feedback.

I don't feel like they're more difficult than Hards either.

Way less tedious to do :p

Most bosses are pretty shit gp/hr if you don't include the rare exclusive drops too.

I never said the common rewards are "bad" (but then again I don't consider bronze dagger a bad drop from a monster, so you can't take my word for it) I just said that they're worth less than the common hard ones.

I would've thought blazeposts were elaborate trolls until I saw his youtube video.

I don't really blame you for that. Most of the times I made posts without even knowing what I was talking about. But that wasn't the case with this thread though since unlike previously I actually thought if it was a good idea to make it or not. And I'm glad.

Whilst I am not 100% sure if this will help you, Blaze, I'd say you were wrong about the general worth of Elites. Considering just how many of each tier of clue I've done, and by working out an average (which I can further support in two weeks, thanks to Jagex doing a stream of 10,000 elite caskets being opened), I would say that elites are still worth more than hards. Yes, the actual clue item may not be worth much, but its the other loot in the clue that pushes up the worth. With the various herb and tree seeds, royal dhide and even the unicorn horns, it adds up to a pretty nice total.

I'm also taking into consideration if I'd use what I get or not.

I don't sell nature runes or law runes since I plan on using them. Same goes for the royal dragonhides, rune bars and the antifire potions. If I don't sell the items I'd use, they really are worth less than regular hard clues.

Jagex won't incorporate your own personal values into the game though.

Well, there is a reason this is in the rants forum and not the suggestions forum. I'm not expecting Jagex to change anything I'm just stating my viewpoint.

I meant that the term "worth" for jagex is not something that they decide by one persons values ;)

You are still implying that I am expecting Jagex to change anything based on what I do, which again is far from the case. What can I say so you get it that I don't care if they change it or not? I have no idea how to make it any clearer.

I never implied that. Someone before me (in the series of quotes) said that the value of things you get from elites is more than from non-elites. You said that you don't sell those kinds of stuff so elites are not worth more than non-elites. I tried to imply that jagex didn't base the worth of those clues on one persons own terms of worth. That is all I said, not that you think that they should change stuff :P

Fair enough.

Elite clue scrolls have more steps to them and if I remember correctly they have a few of the easier steps filtered out.
