February 27, 200620 yr Basketball: Someone threw the ball too hard so it smacked me in the side of my face and knocked off my glasses (as well as breaking them). Badminton: Some may be surprised. My opponent tends to hit the birdie over the net crazily, so I more or less have to dash across the court a lot like tennis. Just yesterday I was playing and almost landed with my foot bent at the ankle inwards. Had I fallen hard enough I would've broken my ankle and tore something, but fortunately I regained my balance on time. Adventurer's Log || YouTube || Facebook || Tip.it Times Work || Wanna Join the Editorial Panel?Maxed Out 01 October 2012 PDT
February 27, 200620 yr Snapped Achilles (Probably the most painful of the lot - it sounded like I had been shot) Ouch, they really suck dont they ? Rugby is my killer too, althought I tend to stay out of most of the rough stuff :P not my game at fullback :D. D'oh, you see I'm a back too, and I sometimes play FB. You could say though, in defence, I don't know my limitation. Think: Jonah Lomu running over (literally) Mike Catt in '95 This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

I dont really try and tackle with intent to hurt the other guy, just enough to get him out or on the ground :) . And yeah i agree ForsakenMage, I play badminton too, people just don't realise how physical it can be :P, well all the running around the caught usually leads to a couple of sprained ankles a season :(
February 28, 200620 yr Dislocated/Broken wrist 6-8 weeks for it to heal. From football, and only 2nd game of the season in 8th grade (10th now)
February 28, 200620 yr I was playing baseball with a team and next thing u know the pictcer was haveing a bad day hitting people.Hit my friend in the back and well me right under my ankle knocked me out of the game period
February 28, 200620 yr well tag isn't exactly a sport, but it's still dangerous sometimes. When i was 6 or 7 or 8 who knows i was playing tag with these two other guys just for a good time out on my front lawn after dark. Well me and one of the other kids were a bit fast for the guy that was coming after us, and he got a bit fed up. One thing we enjoyed doing while playing the game was running up to my porch, jumping off and narrowly evading the predator. Well one time i was just a bit too slow. The kid grabbed my ankles... can you guess where the rest of my body went? That's right, a full on face plant into the concrete 10 feet below. Basically my entire face was covered with blood, and my entire family has a straight nose today, mine grew out a bit crooked though. As long as it affects my breathing no need to do surgery on it though apparently, so it's staying the way it is for about forever now I'm guessing....
February 28, 200620 yr I've had a few bumps and bruises here and there but very few serious injuries during my life. I think I've only ever had two serious ones, first was in rugby. I went down and scored a try in a match straight on top of a broken bottle. I slashed open my leg and had to be carried of the pitch  Second i when i was racing a mate on my bike, I fell of the curve and foolishly tried to mount it again at a very shallow angle. The bike jammed somehow and i went over the top of it like superman and smashed my face into the floor at about 30mph. I also broke my wrist but we didn't know that till the evening after when that day I had been on a mountain biking course. So I spent the day riding about with a broken wrist and eventually pulled out after about 10 miles of riding. This was at the start of the summer holiday, not a fun summer for me. Thanks Venomai for this super sig and Kwimbob for the awesome avatar!
February 28, 200620 yr American Football and Basketball are slowly killing me. Broke my nose in Basketball, elbow to the face. Since then I have broken it 3-4 more times. Countless sprains, torn muscles, hyper extensions in basketball. The worst was when I was playing baseball and someone hit it over a chain link fence, was going over to get it, my pants got caught somehow, went to jump off, swung down and compund fractured my arm. The crazy thing is it wasn't that painful because in doing so I damaged my nerve. There was blood everywhere, had a cast for 3 months. My Tricep on my left arm is still weak from that. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.
March 1, 200620 yr I was walking and slipped and almost fell head first, but I put my hands infront of me. I was in the side of the street and a car ran my head over. RSN: Zammyftw ^^The girl that ruined music.
March 2, 200620 yr Heh playing hockey i've been pretty lucky with injuries since i've never really had a serious injury. I have however seen numberous people having to go to the hospital for high sticks to the face, seen a goalie take a slapshot to the knee without protection guarding it and a few people loosing teeth. F.Y.I that goalie stayed in for the rest of the game even though he could barely do anything. The self-proclaimed king of bronze.

Think: Jonah Lomu running over (literally) Mike Catt in '95 Haha, only a crazy back like you could amass all those injuries :P Forwards FTW  Actually though I did used to play FB for my local club, but the backline were such weak tacklers that I ended up having to bring down nearly ever guy on the other team who ran with it. So I got fed up and bulked myself up a bit to play flanker, it's kind of stuck since then, for my school and club. "Da mihi castitatem et continentam, sed noli modo"
March 2, 200620 yr Broke my arm from skateboarding. Broke my foot skateboarding. Broke 2 fingers while playing basketball. Sprained my ankle about 20 times. Injured my back pretty badly playing football. Cracked my head open in 5th grade durring gym while running laps. Somebody tripped me as a "joke". I'm still in one piece though  .
March 4, 200620 yr um. if anyone finds this offensive, i will edit it or re word things asap. i really dont mean to be offensive or suggestive. that being said, i will try to imply things rather than say them because i dont like to say anything derogatory or profane. so once again. if anyone wants me to change this please say so. i am a gymnast, so thre is loads of potential for pain there 8) my worst was on the paralell bars they are like 2 peices of wood that are not quite round (like an egg shape, just 8' long) they are about 18 inches wide (more or less). anyway, i was doing a handstand on them, and i lost balance and started to fall forward (bad things happen when you fall forward). i ended up twisting to the side to try and throw myself off the equiptment before i hurt somthing, unfortunarely, i was unable to do so effectively. i ended up landing on the bar with 1 leg on either side. and i landed on ummm.... a very painfull area to land on. yeah lets call it that. so after hitting it, i whacked my head on the wall, and curled up because hitting that Really hurts. my team mate told my he did that before and he sais it hurt him. i told him that was because he had nothing there to hurt. the aftermath; i'm pretty sure i ruptured it. it bled for a week more or less continuously. i really hope i can still have children.
