April Fool's day Celebration!

Well, I was checking my calander and noticed Aprils Fools Day (April 1 for those who don't know) is on a Saturday. As such, I figured I have time to plan an event I've wanted to for quite a while now. Basically, it will be a massive celebration for April Fool's day, with a bunch of fun events planned.

We will start off in Lumbridge, where we will use our various toy items, from horses, and disks, to holiday items like Marionettes, Rubber Chickens, and Yo-yo's, (heck, even the halloween zombie head) to wander the castle grounds and just have fun and chill for a bit. At this time, I hope to drop plenty of beer, and hopefully we can have a small dance party go on at the same time.

Next, we will march to varrock, following the path along River lum and the Cow pastures. Of course, we will continue to play with our toys on the way there.

We will enter varrock from the southern entrance and march to the Center. Here, we will have another dance party, with more beer provided by yours truly, and then start a few more festivities. First, those who have rubber chickens will group together, and travel in one group (or a few smaller groups if there are alot of people), whacking people as they go. Those who do not can follow and just hang out, or go away for a little while and come back later for the last event: the Costume Contest.

April Fool's Costume party:

There will be two sections: the Members and Non-Members. In the Members contest, any item in all of runescape may be used, while non-members is restricted to f2p items. The contest will be judged by me and two other volunteers (those who judge may not participate in the actual contest). There will be two winners in each group: First place and a runner up. The costumes will be judged on a criterion of "Silly-ness" (basically a humor factor), astethic appearance (do the colors clash too much, or is it pleasing to the eye?), and most importantly, creativity. A costume may include all equipable items, including weapons. Each winner will recieve a random prize (not junk, naturally, but also don't expect something like 200K for first place or sumthing, after all, this is all going to be paid by me). Random event items are not prohibited.

Additionally, there will be a "NPC Look-a-like" contest. Contestants will dress up as any NPC (attackable or not) and the best will win a prize. There are no separate members or non-members section, and full Barrows, mime, camo, and leiderhosen will NOT count, as those inherently imitate the appropriate NPC and thus are a cheap way to win; i wish to see creativity. At the time of judging, you can state which NPC you are imitating. Judging will place in the center courtyard of Varrock Castle. About 5 minutes before the judging starts, I will be in the center, yelling the glowing message:"All those in the April Fool's contest go to Castle Now", or something similar. At the scheduled time, we will go in the courtyard, and line up. If possible, I would like to gather a list of participants for the costume contest earlier so that it may run smoothly. Note that you may JOIN all three contests, but can win only ONE of them.

Of course, this would be a pain to run myself, and hopefully I can get volunteers to help out. Here are some basic positions needed:

Costume Judge 1--

Costume Judge 2--

Beer Runners (helps me run to bank and get more bear to drop at the party; there can be multiple people, and I will be supplying most, if not all, of the ale)--

Back Up Party leader (will take over my duties in case I cannot make it to the event)--

DATE: April 1, 2006 (Saturday)

WHEN: Lumbridge protion: 1:00 PM EST,

March to Varrock: 1:30 PM EST,

Varrock gathering: 1:35 PM EST,

Varrock Chicken Whacking Group: 1:50 PM EST,

Costume Party: 2:00 PM EST,

WORLD: 7

What to wear: Costume, whatever Silly stuff you have,

What to bring: Probably nothing too valuable; these large events tend to attack Evil Chickens. DO bring your toys. I'm not sure if toy horses are tradable (i know disks aren't), but if they are, I will *try* to stock pile a few to drop at the party. Still, you can bring your own. Also, if you can get a rubber chicken, DEFINATELY bring it, as this will be like, five times more fun with one.

If this gets enough support, I will definately start gathering beers and whatnot.

Oh and last but not least, sign-ups for the Costume party:

Also, if you want to be a judge or beer runner, please post. I will hand pick the back up to ensure that someone trustworthy can take over should I be absent.

Also, if you have any suggestions, please, feel free to post them or PM me. I really want input, even if it is negative.
