It's kinda hard to shade black, I tried adding some grey to the edges.

shade black using dark purples and blues, you need to have the shading on the guys relative to the lights, not the same for all, the instuments in front as has been said need shading/ simple gradiant style for each bit will give a cilindrical look like the way the lights look but the main points need some shading.

It's looking pretty cool :)
