Banim
In response on some posts: While I have done the new quest and I have the Barrows gloves, I still want to get a Fire Cape. Not only for the "status symbol", also for the stats. The gloves and the cape combined are a very good bonus. And those who complained about not being able to bring the Fire Cape to Castle Wars, for example, now have the Dragon and Barrows gloves. I think the Fire Cape should be easier to replace if you lose one, but that's another topic. Also keep in mind that Dragon and Barrows gloves are hard to notice when someone is wearing them. The Fire Cape hardly goes unnoticed. To the author of the thread: You think that the stats and requirements are umbalanced, and the Fire Cape is too hard to get compared to the new gloves. I have to agree with that to some point and I understand you, as I spent one month to get full Infinity at the Mage training arena to find out yesterday that the new gloves have better stats than the Infinity gloves... So getting the gloves was a waste of time... Basically the whole training place was all a waste of time if it wasn't for the crazy Magic exp. But I always have one thing in mind. The game is not only about stats, it's also about achievements. I'm sure people would be more proud about getting the Fire Cape than finishing this long quest to buy some gloves that you can't almost see, although the stats are great. gonzlar
Shhh dont discuss this too much, Jagex might hear us and degrade the stats :) The self-proclaimed king of bronze.
king_pker12
You didnt mention that if u lose the master gloves you can buy them back unlike the fire cape.. I dont think the fire capes stats should be changed but they should make an option to buy another cape if you lose one.
n64jive
Think of it this way, Higher Levels: Cape and Gloves Mid Levels:Just Gloves Ok, so now compare the stat bonus of the 2 classes. Higher levels still have the higher bonus, there fore gloves cross out and what are you left with, Fire cape on the Higher Levels. So now even with new gloves, if you have the cape, you still have the advantage.
Wilmot
Well the get the +12 gloves you need 175qp..that one heck of an investment of time say an hour per qp, 175 hours? Sure quests have other benifits but some people wouldn't bother with them without a really good reason to. I just finished the 8 parts and find myself needed 53qp to finish it. Now to do fight cave i don't need to do any quests, just get 90 range 70 def and have 15m to buy supplies. Which to some people is much the easier option.
