Think about it. I for one hav 75 fire-making and nothing to do with it except burn mage logs, like im ever gonna do that lol. If, say, a new type of magicks, along with a new quest, could bring pyrotechniks. Jagex could mix magic with firemaking to give a hand people with large fire making lvls. Plz dont flame me i'm just makin a suggestion.

I don't know a lot about the capabilities of firemaking once you get to a higher lvl but if you can still just burn logs then I think there should be more of a point to it.

By 'pyrotechniks' do you mean Fire-Works, because I think the closest thing you would get to that in the days Jagex have chose to set RuneScape in would be a faulty cannon. Now, potentially there are better uses for the fire making skill...more evil ones perhaps. For instance, forest fires, burning down buildings, setting crops ablaze...very destructive things befitting an evil army (such as we are mounting).

 

 

 

Ahem, anyway, other things could be used to, like making Bon-Fires. I can see that now....walking into west Varrock and there are 20-foot-tall four-square-wide fires everywhere. 10 trees = 1 Bon-Fire. Muwahahahaha... Yeah, I guess that fits the evil M.O. I'd like to see that skill adopt.

That does sound cool. Also maybe mental firestarting, like to save one inventory space. 60 Firemaking to mentally start normal logs, 65 for oaks, 70 for willows, etc etc.

As to burning magic logs, it does give new meaning to the phrase "burning your funds".

they could have magick to suit the elements, with ancient magicks being ice ones, pyro whatever being fire ones

Yes, I can totally agree with having nothing to do with firemaking. To let you know, I am a level 61 F2P firemaker. You can only assume I got nothing better to do than burn yews in Edgeville to watch all the people go: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock: :shock:

 

 

 

 

 

I need something else to do with this skill, because as it stands it is USELESS! Jagex said themselves that you have better luck (or control) of not burning food if you use a range, so why does anyone need to go to the trouble of collecting logs, havibg a tinderbox, making a fire, just to burn some food? Honestly. USELESS SKILL.

Lol i'd love fire works! that'd be awesome =D maybe you'd have to mine and grind up ore to make different colors, they do that for the color in fireworks in real life.

Might be a little late on this one, but fireworks were invented prior to the invention of the cannon(which is in the game) by the chinese, maybe a quest to the east where you learn about fireworks and possibly other things as well?
