To all fire cape owners...

Featured Replies

I wair mine.

How many of you wear your cape while training, and how many just leave it in the bank as a trophy?

Are the stat bonuses worth the risk of lagging and losing it, or does it stay in the bank almost eternally?

theres no risk training with it unless you dharok and are far from telespots. The stats are even worth it to pk with it- theres no real risk loseing it thatway cause you can pick it up after dieing. + the fight caves only hard thing is that its quite long(90 mins)

Dharoking in place near teleports-where might that be? Hmm Ardougne might be "ok" but as for me that isn't too good xp. :? But yea, as long as you aren't dharoking, there's really no risk.

I'm still at the kq...140 kills, no chain. Anyway, once I get another chain i'm getting Guthan's armor and going for the fire cape.

Anyone know what the fire cape is actually worth? Approx?

What keeps over the fire cape?

i dunno why people like fire cape i mean yeah its a good achievement and all but really it looks rubbish i mean a bright orange cape! if there was just a normal bright orange cape in the game i bet no1 would wear it, partly cause orange dont match with anything. a black obby cape goes with anything! if i had the cape i would never wear it cause i h8 it and thinks it looks ded dodgy and really wide for some reason....

well, yes its wide, if you were in a sword fight... and u had a shield, would u want a little shield or a really wide or big shield?

the cape has good stats, the str bonus means...guesss what? a new max hit probably...and the prayer bonus would be sweet for things like metal dragons

Most who get fire cape either want it for its animation, or its bonus, or both. Thus why most wear it once they get it.

That would be risky and difficult to find out, since it is nontradable and not sellable to the store. But it would be good to know what items you keep before the cape if you die.

Anyone know, because I too am curious about that.

I wear it strategically. I know it's worth 36k, same as an Obsidian Cape. Since I know that, I know what protects over it when I die, so I know when, and when not to wear it :)

An easy way to figure out its protect value would be to go to Falador or Lumby (depending on where you set your spawn point) with a fire cape and some valuable (by store price items).

Eat nightshades until you die, or drop potions from the Digsite quest until you die. You respawn right next to your stuff, and get the cape if it was dropped. Repeat until you have the range super close.

I've heard that its protect value is equal to a 24K store value.
