"Halo joins the MMO world with Halo: Online

Halo: Combat Evolved to join the Massively Multiplayer world alongside Halo 2: PC

haloonline4 Bungie Studios, creators of the hit franchise "Halo", are set to explode onto the scene of Massively Multiplayer Gaming with the creation of Halo: Online. Halo: Online will be developed by Bungie Studios in partnership with a team from Jagex Ltd., creators of the successful MMORPG "RuneScape".

Set for release Spring 2008, Halo: Online will be released alongside Halo 2: PC and will give players the chance to develop a character based in the Halo universe while fighting the ongoing war between the Covenant and Humanity. Gamers will have the oppurtunity to play as both a Marine on the side of Humanity, or an Elite Soldier on the side of the Covenant, a religious army destroying Humanity's colonies one by one.

"Halo: Combat Evolved" and it's sequel, "Halo 2", have both exceeded expectations on all formats which they have been developed for. The games follow the epic story of "Master Chief" as he battles against the superior alien forces of the Covenant. In Halo: Online, you see the story from both sides of the battles waged and the territory lost and gained as the player's character progresses.

The game will come with 1 month's free play. After that, players may choose to purchase additional months for only US$5, similar to Jagex's current price plan. Also with the Java-based web-games expertise that Jagex Ltd. provides, Halo: Online promises not to require tremendously high-cost PCs that other games ask for, thus giving the oppurtunity to play on nearly any internet-ready PC or Java device at any time.

About Bungie Studios: Bungie Studios was founded in 1991 with two goals: to develop games that combine brilliant technology, beautiful art, intelligent stories and deep gameplay, and then sell enough of those games to achieve its real goal of total world domination. Released in 2004, the award winning "Halo 2" for Xbox has achieved phenomenal success and has sold more than 7.3 million units worldwide. Don't know if anyone here has seen this, pretty cool stuff eh?

Or is it just an April Fools Joke? I shall leave this for you to decide.

I think this is just an advertising attempt by Jagex.. because HBO is a very popular site and many people will look at this article.

I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm!

What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
