Miscellaneous thing

Well, they told us once to first draw a select number of neopets off a printed page (practicing doing proportions and just normal cartoon drawing) and then make our own cartoon-style figures.

Neopets off a page:

My own figures (fun, fun, wtf is with that evil balloon with horns? :P ):

Oil paintings! Wewt

I just started these recently and man are they a pain in the arse. Firstly, the brush strokes are clearly visible. Second of all, it takes a while to get used to using turpentine instead of water to make the paints a bit more doable. They're really thick and solid at first. And if you get some on your clothes or your skin, you're pretty much screwed. You need a combo of turpentine, lots of soap, and about a half an hour of holding the part of your body (arms usually) under HOT water. Plus, you need to cover the whole painting with laque (lacquer? How's it pronounced in English?) after you're finished. Which leaves that particular area of your house smelling for weeks.

My first ever oil painting (it sucks badly):

SECOND, and one that I like more. It's something along the lines of a city industrial area (factories and stuff) during nighttime. Notice how the first one was aimed more toward a cheerful bright color while this one is a cold, dark painting. Which is why I chose black and silver as a frame for this one :P

Watercolor\acrylic paintings, WITH pastels as a finishing touch

In order from worst to best (in my opinion, and in others' too)

Some random castle - it came out really badly.

Just a seascape...

A strange subject...we were supposed to make a cheerful, sad, and...evil? dead? type of tree, each representing that mood.

Lake shore...boats...people...a mutant looking horse...what else do ya want?

Windmill, boat, blah. What we need is a few floating windmill islands and a tower.

Many on RuneVillage last time said this was their painting and one person even said that if s/he could, they'd frame it and put it on their wall...I feel special. :D It's Venice in the sunset.

Now this is a personal favorite of mine, yet it's in the running with Venice in the sunset. This one was made right after Mt. St. Helens here in washington state started smoking again.

And these 2 were made in my spare time. Just normal pencil drawings, nothing else.

I liked u first oil paint and the eruption the first drawin gis not realistic. The dog is very realistic but then the horse is miss-porpostioned and the the drug is cartoony :)

Wow....I'm jealous of your art ability =D

Nice, those must have taken forever to make!

Best one! Very nice, i like your senery paintings, but your not great at draaing people or pencel drawing in general. But like i said, you art great at painting landscapes or whatever, stick to that :D

your pencil sketch aren't really worth mentioning...

but your landscape work are good. The one with the chimney, the volcano and the one above are really good.

animals and people probably is not your thing

your drawings are quite.. not to good.. look at em and look at your mistakes and concentrate on that.

no for the paintings, some of em are nice, some are not..

but what difference would it make, your probly able to take out your own mistakes.

oil paintings weren't bad...

-80 def + -

TANK FOREVER

Wildy kills: 367 + 2 Whips

very well done, the oil paintings came across well. I would recommend a little bit less black in them, makes them look sloppy.

You have a real strength with landscapes, but im kinda disappointed this doesn't leak into your pencil work, you sure have talent but im sure you'd benifit from drawing actual people rather than drawing off the top of your head.. Im actually guessing that those drawings are well before you made that last painting, because it doesn't look like the same person made it.. You're in the right direction so please keep up the good work, some day you'll amaze us all..
