apinagez
Let's discuss about riffs and riffers, people :D All those pieces of a song everyone knows, even without knowing the name of the song or the band that plays it. Those are problably the most famous sounds we ever created. My list on greatest/most famous would be: 1)Deep Purple's Smoke on the Water 2)Led Zeppelin's Black Dog 3)Eric Clapton's Layla 4)Guns N' Roses' November Rain 5)The Who's Pinball Wizard 6)Many Led Zeppelin songs, like Fool in the Rain, Hearbraker and Houses of the Holy In my opinion, Jimmy Page is by far the greatest riff maker, since so many Led Zeppelin songs have famous riffs. So, what are, in your opinion, the greatest/most famous riffs, and the best riff makers? ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me

apinagez
Deep Purple - Black Night Deep Purple - Lazy Deep Purple - Space Truckin' Rainbow - Man on the Silver Mountain Rainbow - Long Live Rock'n'Roll Rainbow - Stargazer Rainbow - Kill the King Nobody beats Blackmore's riffs. His riffs and solos are really amazing :) I was gonna add Lazy to my list, but I thought there was no actual riff on it. Is there one? I mean, it has like 5 minutes of "solo", what part is the riff? ^The most disturbing signature on Tip.it^Last.fm|HELLY KAYLA!|Oh the mehagurtz!|#Siencemakers"they care less about their spelling mistakes then I." - Lionheart"apinagez... let me

I mean, it has like 5 minutes of "solo", what part is the riff? I guess it's more a theme than a riff. But I'm calling it a riff. What part is it? It's the part you'd hum if someone asked you to hum "Lazy".
