Guide to weapon speeds

Featured Replies

I had some spare time, and made this guide of attack speeds.

The speeds are listed as attacks per minute. It might be off by one (or two at most) attacks per minute, but this is as accurate as I could be. The higher the number of attacks per minute, the faster it is.

Shortbow (rapid) - 45

Longbow (rapid) - 40

Shortbow - 25

Dagger - 25

Sword - 25

Scimmy - 25

Fists - 25

Whip - 25

Claws - 25

Mace - 21

Pick - 21

Long - 21

Magic spells - 21

Spears - 21

Axe - 17

Baxe - 17

Warhammer - 17

2h - 14

Hally - 14

Please feel free to post corrections, and add attack speeds of barrows weapons.

Wouldnt it also vary on the type of attack?

Jagex has the attack speeds in their weapon guide. The type of attack has no effect.

Their guide just compares speeds - no actual numbers in it.

Would mind seeing the whips attacks per min. against the scimmy.

Might go check out the weapons guide now.

EDIT: The guide for Weapon Speed is found here.

It says the whip is the same speed as the scimmy, dagger and longsword. Weird I thought it was a bit quicker. :?

2- Handed sword, 4 secs

Halberd, ??? (more then 4 secs)

Halberd and 2h have the same speeds

Oh I see according to the knowledge base those speeds are equal.

conplaatje3vl9.png

Why does Jagex categorize a dagger's speed as "fastest" and a scimitar's speed as just "fast", when they are actually the same speed?

Shortbow is fastest XD

99 range on f2p (H)

RsN : Cookkie61

just to keep this relative the slower weapons hit higher which means in the right hands they could kill something faster than something that hits faster...thought that should be pointed out...

Empire Mind:Nbk killed your clan.

NATURAL BORN KILLERS

JUST LIKE THAT

actually, knives and darts are even faster than shortbows on rapid.

this was a really good guide, breaking it down to hits per minute is much more useful than the graph on the knowledge base
