  1. I'm not talking about super speed, I'm talking about "teleporting". Disappearing from one spot, and reappearing in another.
  2. Can somebody please clearly explain to me how lag tricks are performed... I've seen people in varrock square running around a couple of times before stopping, and suddenly, they appear 3-4 squares away. No animation whatsoever, no teleport bubble. They simply appear. In addition, can someone tell me of other tricks that can be done like this? I don't have any holiday items, however...(easter rings).
  3. Sign me up too please. Even though it wouldn't help me too much...
  4. It was probably a guy and his friend having fun. I pull that stuff with my friends all the time. :)
  5. You've been playing for 19 minutes and 30 seconds.....
  6. Change your character to a girl. Skirts are, you know, supposed to be worn by girls. Then get spammed by lots of level 60's asking you to be their online girlfriend.
  7. Ok, first of all, let's look at the current numbers. 94 140 73 No one category holds the majority. If the Tip It Admin was to decide based on the numbers right now, the "No - Keep" category would get picked because it is the plurality. If a new poll was concocted, and the choices were "Yes - Remove" and "No - Keep in either posts or profile", the "No"'s would win in a ed landslide (according to the current numbers). Now, if we voted in a new poll on "Keep in Posts" and "Keep in Profile", all the "Yes - Remove" people would vote for "Keep in Profile". So the only real fair compromise way would be to keep post count in profile. Or keep them altogether since the plurality of the people want it kept. On another note, Post count does not encourage that much random spam. Those that post will continue posting regardless of post count. People that feel the need to get their post count up to appear more "veteran" or whatnot will lose incentive to spam, but we must remember that those people are relatively few compared to those that have posted mostly meaningful posts during their Tip It careers. I will not mind if post counts are removed or kept. (Mainly because I have about 70 over 2 years, and I think join date > post count  ) But there are those that have accumulated thousands of meaningful posts over the years, and they will mind if their accomplishments are whiped out.
  8. Are there any places you can get to if you input one combination after another in a specific order? (Kind of like getting to the faery queen)
  9. Torag's armor is not much better than the other melee sets. Torag's armor gives +260 slash defense without any supporting items, just the 3 armor pieces alone. Guthan's gives +247 slash defense, a mere 13 defense lower than Torag's, and it possesses an awesome set effect. Dharok's gives +250 slash defense, only 10 defense lower than Torag's, and gives huge strength bonuses to wounded players. I don't think that trading off a good set effect for 10 more defense points is worth it.
  10. I would like to see a whip hit through full metal plate armor.
  11. As most of you know, each of the six Barrows sets has a special effect when all four parts are equipped simultaneously. Some of these special effects are quite powerful, such as the healing effect of Guthan's set, and the ability of Verac's set to hit through armor and prayer. However, some sets have effects that are sadly lacking in power and effectiveness. the best example of this would be Torag the Corrupted's set. All the melee barrows sets have around the same defense, so we will leave that out of the question. Torag's is the best however, having 10 defense more than Guthan's and Dharok's. Torag's set effect: Damaging melee attacks have a chance of reducing the target's run energy by 20%. You can see the fault in this effect already: Monsters don't need run energy. Monsters NEVER run. The only possible advantage this effect could give would be against other players in the Wilderness. It doesn't even work in Castle Wars due to the hooded cloak replacing the helmet. As you can see now....This effect is practically worthless, as players won't risk a 2 million gp set of armor in the wilderness when they would use full rune, which costs one-tenth of the price. Torag's set actually has higher magic penalties than full rune, so the 2 million set leaves players weaker to the numerous mages in the Wilderness than a 200k set of full rune. Now onto the weapon of the set: Torag's Hammers. This weapon is pitiful. It gives +85 crush attack, and +72 strength. Its cooldown is about 1.8 times the cooldown of the Abyssal Whip, meaning that it attacks almost TWICE as slowly as the Whip, rendering it practically useless and undesirable by players. Most players buy only the armor set, as it has the best defensive bonuses in the game, but they skip the Hammers. Now onto the suggested new special effect: Torag's Hammers has a 50% chance to attack twice in one turn. This effect will make Torag's effective and useful again, and more people will buy the Hammers. It also gives a sense of realism, as Torag wields two hammers, and attacks with both of them. Many people will think that this effect is overpowered, but that is not so: With the new effect, Torag will hit 3 times every 2 turns, on average, effectively increasing the speed by 150%. Even with the increase, it still attacks slower than the Abyssal Whip, and the Hammers have weaker stats than the Whip. Compared to the Guthan's and Verac's special, Torag's new effect is still weaker than those, without giving the player the ability to train almost infinitely in one run, and without letting them completely ignore armor. This update to Torag's set will mean that people will actually start using it again, and will be a fun and original special, in contrast to those Karil and Ahrim specials which simply reduce stats. Feel free to leave suggestions or improvements here.
  12. New monster from Burthorpe - Icefiends (and it's not on RS knowledge DB either  )
  13. Any member with half a brain does slayer for combat exp.
  14. Only a 5-15k profit after sitting there for 30 minuntes yelling "Selling dds!11!one"? You're probably better off merchanting runes with 60k. There's a much better market for them.
  15. I'm sorry to say this..... but you can go play dressup with your sister some more. Oh wow. That was pretty rude.
  16. After 2 days in caves, I've gotten 3 clues (all crap) and a LEFT HALF! BUT STILL NO MASK!!! ARG!!!
  17. You forgot Pollnivneach for Dusties, Lure thieving, and...um...um....spicy kebabs! \ And having your house in Relleka or Yanille is not that big of an advantage (unless you're chapelling in Yanille) because there are already teleports to those places.
  18. Quitting simply because you don't want to be called a geek? Just don't tell your friends you play lol. Anyways, you'll be back. They always come back.
  19. There's a weird black shrine en route to the caves with a picture of a mask on it. Perhaps that is used to recharge?
  20. I can't find the cave -.-
  21. Am I the only one getting excited about the teleportation rings that may or may not reduce your daily commute by 20%? Imagine teles to monkfish, lost city, or maybe even....PORT KHAZARD!!!!
  22. You must remember that the #1 resource in RS in not money, it's time. If you can make 70m in the time you saved from doing lobbies, then by all means, do lobbies.
  23. Quest hall or skill hall directly in front (north) of portal. (I prefer quest hall for easier access to glory, but you can do skill hall if you want to show off kbd/kq head etc) Whichever one you pick, put the other one upstairs. Put throne room directly behind hall. Altar to the left of the portal (easier for prayer exp, less walking). Portal room to the right (easier for canifis tele). Or reverse it, doesn't matter. Have a separate area to the south for games rooms, combat rooms, etc. Less important stuff, like studies, workshops, etc should be off to the side.
