Jdprs
There it is, im sure sure if i want to use it or give it away, you can rate it or whatever but im really looking for some advice, i really dont know what im doing with photoshop:P http://jdpr.deviantart.com/
coldvenom
Try to use your darker colors so you can see the render better. Good job with the lighting effect on the sword, except the style of the render doesnt go well with the shine (the render is drawn/anime and the shine looks like i isnt coming from a natural source). The guy's clothes are too close to the color of the bacjground. sig by me avatar by: born2dieMy Website -> Coldvenom.CO.NR <- My Website
Jitouz
A better blending/bg would help, but... I see nothing wrong with the one you posted. Orginal. Thanks Metroid for the siggy and dark_shadow for avvy! \:D/  <3 wendy
_k0m0d0_
For the render: Something that might work for you, just a suggestion: So you have the render layer>Blending Options>OuterGlow (Red - Just change the color, dont move anithing.)>Drop Shadow (Just click the box) Now duplicate this layer 3 times. Right click in the first and select Copy Layer Style, and right clike the other 2>Paste Layer Style. So now toy have 3 layers exactly the same. Set them like this: -1st Layer: 85% opacity, them go Filter>Blur>Motion Blur>Set Distance 42px and angle -85̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâú -2nd Layer: 70% opacity -3rd layer: 85% opacity and change to Overlay. This should do a nice effect :D Try it. Post the result. ~komodo
Tjbartz2009
I can go into a lot of detail but I'm not gonna :P Work on your background by downloading brushes. And your render is really good but blend it in better and the lens flare ruins it :? But its good for a first try(if it was ur first)
fitzztif
hmm maybe try make the render alot bigger

coldvenom
for brushes go to http://www.deviantart.com scrool down a little bit and in the middle is will say "Resources" Click on that. There will be a "Quick Browse" drop down list. go to "Photoshop Brushes" then click Browse. Once you click browse you can choose the top rated or the newest ect. There is a search bar on the home page. Some good Brushes are Metal CX and Flamix. Search for those using the Search bar. sig by me avatar by: born2dieMy Website -> Coldvenom.CO.NR <- My Website

cadburys_egg
Looks good, just the render sticks out a little too much if you see what I mean. Get the brush, set the flow and opacity to ~50 and gently go around the rendered image. This should blend it into the background and soften it a little. Otherwise, its very nice. :)
Jdprs
I was close, thanks very much everyone Should the devent art brushes work with PS7? Because they dont http://jdpr.deviantart.com/

coldvenom
try to use more than one brush set, it adds uniqueness. A good set is "chaotic" by Metal CX. On the third one, he font looks like "visitor" which only looks good when it is around 10-12pt in size. the white on text on that doesnt look to good. try to overlap your brushes less. sig by me avatar by: born2dieMy Website -> Coldvenom.CO.NR <- My Website

_k0m0d0_
For those new ones, I like the second one! :D Try using some contrast layers, and some selective color ones too. Your doing some great progress! ~komodo
